When I was about 2-3 years old, I got my middle finger of the left hand in the door. The flesh of the finger sort of came off and was hanging. I'm told I got 3 stitches. If you look very closely, you could see the difference between the two middle fingers of both hands.
In fact, I can feel the difference. :)
