I just had a beautiful baby girl MASHALLAH 3 months ago and now im going through this severe form of hair loss all of a sudden. I have always had gorgeous hair 2 begin with, even before i got married and during my pregnancy, they were as pretty as i was modelling for some sunsilk/pantene commercial. I did read up that the pregnancy hormones are tapering off now and that is the reason for all the hair loss and u cannot stop it. But is there any desi way maybe of controlling this problem?

I have heard that you lose the ones that you didnt lose during pregnancy.. my hair is beautiful during pregnancy and just so lush and knowing I dont have much volume otherwise, it's all pregnancy related and will be losing them all rigth after the birth!!
i dont think you can do anything to stop it.. but if it gets worse than your normal hair then probably you should?

Same thing, baby girl 3 months old and started loosing them, I will buy "bio-h-tin", this is vitamine for hair and nails, after a month the hair loss stops and u get healthy and beautiful hair again, tried and tested.

I lost my hair when I had my daughter and never got it back the way it used to be pre-pregnancy.

My timing was almost exactly the same. I have cousins whose hair got thicker afterwards.

I started losing hair about two months after my twins were born. It has only gotten worse since then. When is it going to stop? Because I'll be completely bald by the time my babies are 5 or 6 months old :(
Saadia, is bio- h-tin available in drug stores? I might try that because regular multi-vitamin aren't doing anything for me.

I don't think you need to do anything. The reason it happens is that the hormones during pregnancy stop the normal hair shedding. Suddenly your hair sheds as your hormone levels return to normal. It feels like a lot cuz your body is making up for the hair that did not shed during the pregnancy.

What I tried is that my pharmacy makes their own v*itamin H *with a recipe known to them, but basically its the same as this product or biotin.
and I swear about this product, have 3 childbirth behind me and it helps immeditaly after a month of taking it regulary.
i saw a lady whose head skin was showing after 5-6 months after the child birth, she had literally no hear on the top and I told her what is she waiting for take something do something and told her take this, i dont know if she will as someone told her to wait till the kid is one and then it will get better but in her condition I dont see any hope unless she does take something .. so in my opinion dont wait and go to the drug store near u ask for vitamine H biotin or bio-h-tin!

ask your drug store if they have something like this for the hair, it can have another brand name, but basically its vitamin H (biotin) for hair and nails. normal vitamin does nothing ...

Right around 3 months most women lose hair. I did too. A LOT. I still am losing hair and my baby is 6 months now. At 3-5 months was a major hair loss. Its getting a little better now though. I didn't worry too much about it since everyone told me thats going to happen and not to worry too much about it.

Im gonna get this, reviews are good, hope it works. Biotin is Vitamin B7 i think and its mostly effective when taken orally. There are a lot of biotin shampoo and conditioners in the market but its most effective when taken in your diet, not really helpful when using it in the form of a shampoo. Foods rich in biotin is egg yolk, so i guess i will b a good girl from now on and will not skip breakfast, like i always have

I got my pills today, itw written biotin on it, so i will update with my progress in a few weeks, right now I am loosing hair in masses.

Congratulations to you!
Increase your intake of fruits/ vegs etc. Drink freshly squeezed fruits juice, munch on veggies eg carrot, cumcumber, celery sticks and drink lots of water. Its makes a huge difference on skin/ hair texture. :)
