Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

so the main figure of hate has left now, what do you all think

there will be any change in war on terror policy?

mullahs / suicide bombers against musharraf will change now? or find new figure to hate and carry on killing innocent people?

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

It will continue. Prim Minister Gilani has gone on the record that Pakistan's action against militants has always been happening because it's in Pakistan's best interest to shut down the militancy. Which means military operations will continue, and so will the suicide bombings.

The bombings were not against Musharraf.... they were against the government.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

well musharraf being named as American agent, is out of power now. who would they blame and held responsible? the next president? or the great Zardari?

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

What about Baitullah Mehsud....he should be forced to "retire" as well. Then we can expect some harmony..Mayyybe...

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

By Mushraff not being there, it is very likely that Pakistan will be slowly considered a rouge government/nation and the US Armed forces incursions inside Pakistani borders will increase.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

Pakistan needs to sign Defense pacts with Iran and other Asian nations as an Insurance Policy.

vigoratus bhaijan. What kind of defence pact and Insurance policy do you have in mind? Can you please elaborate on this?

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

The kind that would insure if Pakistan is invaded, then the invaders incur severe damage as well. It's in the interest of every sovereign nation to have friends who will defend it in tough times.

Wouldn't you agree?

Develop these tribal area. Instead of spending 80% of the budget in Punjab, we should spend 40% in NWFP and tribal areas by developing schools and universities or clear north and south waziristan by massive relocation process.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

80% of the budget can be well spent in combating power shortage, so factories can run generating jobs, so people can earn money, and can shop & spend it to get the economy rolling.

I think Iran will be a good strategic partner, if we will be considered a basket case rouge nation anyway, why not embrace it rather than trying to postpone the thing (phun intended).

In all seriousness, US or "allies" are not invading any country anytime soon. Bombing the hell out of a country is totally on the table.

I am glad Mushraff is gone, his fate has deterred any other General from taking power any time soon. Also, now when the country will run into the ground at least the two stooges will have each other to blame. I give them until next summer before they will be at each others throats.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

^You're very generous. I was thinking more like 6 mos. before they're at it again. For now it's all smiles and hugs between the coalition parties. I hope it lasts.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

anybody selling invasion insurance, with reasonable monthly premiums?
We should buy it, before Obama takes charge.

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

Obama can't attack Pakistan...

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

it depends on what happens in the next few months. What do you think anyone would say if NATO forces bomb FATA?

I like the idea about joining Iran and Turkey. We can work together with both Iran and turkey to eliminate Jahalat and terrorism. We can give Iran and Turkey favorite nation trade status and try to improve our economy by developing joint-projects

did we not have RDC anyways?

The Saudi lobby in Pakistan will never let that happen.

In every pact there must be some give and take. What Pakistan can offer to Iran and Turkey? Specially Turkey as there main aim at this point seems to be joining European Union and getting into any pact with Iran (not a favorite nation by EU) and Pakistan (which may soon be invaded by NATO)

vigoratus bhaijan. When you say 'invaders incur severe damage as well' what do you mean by that?

Re: Post Musharraf war on terror and suicide bombing

why anti-Musharraf people stay away from the threads about suicide bombing?
oh yes, their bigger issue is mqm i guess.
