I had made a post in the women driving halal thread which stated (best of my recollection):

“Personal attacks are like consumer staples - they do well in all threads like consumer staples do in any economy”.

It was said toungue in cheek, and was directed at no one. There was a query from A to B whether B had engaged in a personal attack. B was puzzled this would be an issue, especially in this thread. And I just decided to lighten the atmosphere.

While my attempt at humor may not have succeeded (no surprise there), it was a lame joke - no harm intended to anyone.

I do not need an explanation of why it was moved. Just wanted to provide feedback re: my intent and some background re: moved post.

Anyway, wanted to add while consumer staples may do well in all economies, they do especially well during a recession. So if you can predict a recession, you know what to buy. As someone has sadi, economists have predcited 7 out of the last 3 recessions (or something similar).

^ No problems Seb. I was puzzled as to why it was moved - must have been some reason - so just wanted to clarify.

Nom - gott to admit, that was funny - got a chuckle out of it myself.

Just for you, maybe, plans are underway to start a weekly feedback thread.

It is with deep regret that I have to inform yet again one of my posts was moved - this time by a “furner” from Canada. Oh the injustice of it all!

Southie, I will lock this thread till the relevant CM’s come and answer your query.

NomiCA please refrain from posting in thread after thread in feedback that hasn’t got anything to do with you, please, Moderators have lives too and better things to do than to come on GS and randomly move around stuff, after-all you know the procedure by now (after being explained it a million times by CM’s themselves) that if you YOURSELF have a problem then contact the relevant people.
