Post-Flight Appearance

Re: Post-Flight Appearance

This would depend upon the length of the flight. The most makeup I’d usually wear is my lipstick/gloss …maybe mascara. So, if it’s a short flight of a couple of hours…and if my skin is in good condition…I’d just wear the lipstick and mascara (as I don’t really like foundation too much). Now…if it’s a short flight…and my skin is not in the best condition…then I’d also wear foundation/concealer.

If it’s a long flight…(let’s say from the US to Pak)…I don’t really bother with wearing makeup on the plane. Because the combined effect of makeup (that has worn off) and airplane fatigue…is not pretty. Instead what I do is…when we arrive at the final airport…I’ll freshen up my face in the restroom (apply a bit of makeup)…because I’ll know that I’ll be seeing relatives soon.

One thing that I do take care to do is not mess with my hair too much in a long flight. I have fine hair…and fine hair tends to get greasy fast. The more your brush it and touch it (fingertips have oil on them)…the faster my hair gets oily. So, i just keep it in a simple, no-fuss hairstyle (pony tail, etc)…and don’t mess with it much.

Also, the number of makeup items that I take has nothing to do with the flight itself. Rather, I take fairly common things like foundation/concealer, lipstick/gloss, mascara, eyeliner, blush. I may not apply ALL of these things when I arrive at my destination…but I bring them in case I may need it for special occasions and such.
