post caserian body

my baby is now 3 and half weeks…hes su ch a cutie mashAllah…i couldnt be more grateful to Allah for giving me such a beautiful gift…

however i feel so horrible…i didnt put on much weight but the weight i did put on is gathered around my hips and tummy and i hate it, i just feel awful! its disgusting theres so much excess fat around that area…

for those of you who have had a baby have u managed to reduce your stomach or lose weight? if so how did u do it? any particular exercises? i am breastfeeding him, i heard thats a good way of losing weight…

any suggestions?

Ms D2A, not to worry. Most of it isnt fat at all. Its your stomach muscles. They've spent 9 months stretching out and it takes a while for them to go back to where they were. The muscles are all loose and floppy now cause they just need time to recover from the pregnancy. Stomach exercises help a bit. Dont worry about being "fat", you need to maintain really good nutrition esp when you're breastfeeding....and this burns calories.

Noor was delivered via section. I'm still struggling with the flabby muslces.
I find that Pilates is really good for gaining some strength back. It's not high impact and the stretching makes me feel really lean and long. I may not look it, but feeling it puts a spring in my step nonetheless.
