Hi, can someone please post brides done by Allenora, if you had your makeup done by Allenora than please do share, I know it sounds kinda risky putting pictures up but it will give the rest of us an idea who are getting married in the near future of what kinda make up Annie or her assistants or anyone else at Allenora does…

Here are 3 pictures that they had on the walls at Allenora in Multan. The quality of the pics is not that good because I took them secretly on my phone.
The bridal area upstairs was really nice and my cousin’s wife’s makeup turned out good but I wasn’t impressed by the downstairs salon area which was dirty with ants everywhere.

all those pics are of models, right?
where are the "real" brides? i say thats a true testament to your skills. when your base is already beautiful (i.e. with models), its easier to brush some paint on and voila! great result. but when you're dealing with all sorts of skin colours and types and faces in your "normal" clientele, how you make them look is more of a challenge, i think.

^ yeah but even that might not be so totally accurate b/c of airbrushing done afterwards..
i remember going to new look for bridal makeup and there wre pics all over hte wall..i asked hte lady, are they models or real women? and she said they’re allll real women. I knew they were models (vaneeza, iman, neha etc).

well thats why i put "real" in quotes, referring to non-models, i.e. people without perfect skin, bone structure, etc... all of the things models usually have :P
when your base is already flawless to begin with, what is the challenge?

you are right, but let me correct this Annna.
the modeling people are ordinary women, but with thick make up and expensive clothing on them. and the hype of media exposure made them popular. not all glitz and ambiance is in the glossy magazines, which on a separate issues, degrade women as attractive show pieces.
as one gazal of Tahira Syed goes:
'her rukh keye aik cherey mey, ik ada see hoti hey'
and that is what unfortunately is generalized for all women.
all women are beautiful. but not all have the means to adopt glamorized looks all the time, with edits in real time like is done in wedding photo shoots.
lavish expense of facing up, as i call it, is a waste.
a woman with natural good skin and fair color, and simple make up can be really stunning. she wont need to chalk up her face with chemicals and deep bright colors.
how nice would it be if women would leave some work of truly liking beyond physical appearance to their grooms to be?
the men have it very easy there when woman simply throws out all her gusto and foolishly thinks that charming a man by own momentous distractive appearances is all that is needed to keep him.
subtle makeup and skills of applying it can be learnt so that a bride to be, saves that much money and invests in her house.
it will only make sense to those who know the difference between what it means to save and to waste. & if young women took care of their skin and health, they wont need to be artificially beautified at an expensive cost.

I am a model myself but I am nowhere near perfect. I may weigh 95 pounds and have a good bone structure but I am an ordinary looking person. Most of the models I have worked with are the same. When I went to Pakistan, I saw Vaneeza and Neha and a few others upclose without any makeup and I wasn't impressed, mainly because I admire a couple of them ALOT and to see how imperfect they are in real life sort of disappoints you. Not to mention, when some of them start talking, you just lose all the good impression. But the point is, there is an ENTIRE team of people who are paid to make you look good. It takes hours for a shoot to happen because there are makeup and hair artists spending hours to make you look all perfect and dolled up.

can anyone also tell me how long it takes for these brides to get ready approximately how many hours..... And would you have to go there in the morning or just a few hours before the wedding takes place?

My sister-in -law got ready from new look, i think 2-3 hours is good enough time to get everything... when u do the booking, u tell htem around what time the wedding is, and they'll give u a time frame to come in between..thats how it was at new look, im assuming allenora operates the same way

i never said models were perfect..nobody is perfect.
but they are different than ordinary women..or are potrayed different..that is why they are called MODELs..i personally just hate the word model for them..cuz model to me means someone u look up too..and i dont look up to them..and most of the people shldnt..
and i agree that they are very ordinary looking..after all we all have 2 eyes...1 nose..2 ears..and etc..but with all that make up they are made to be looked different...

you go in around 1, come back at 6. if it's shaadi season they have a lots of brides sitting there waiting to get ready. oh also if you want to get chitty chitty make sure you specify that before they start your makeup because they tend to do normal tone makeup for you :D

I guess to make yourself chitty chitty you have to do all that stuff before the wedding like going into the salon for the polishing and facial whitnings few days before....

that's done regardless. the polishing stuff is all part of the deal on the day of the barat. when i meant chitty i meant the color of the base. normally the new trend is a base that is the same as your skin tone, but some still prefer being gori gori

i wouldnt get polishings and/or facial whitenings at all, but especially not a few days before or the day of your wedding!!! what if you have an allergic or skin reaction to the stuff they use and break out in a rash or zits or something else entirely? eeek! i'd say get your facial done at least a month or minimum two weeks before your wedding and only if you really need it- that way you have enough of a buffer between the facial and your wedding so if something does go wrong, you can handle it. if your skin is already smooth and clear, you really don't need one, and dont let anyone else tell you its "routine" or whatever.
