Sheal, that's too funny! But in all seriousness, that look was in around the year 2000. All that chatta-patti, multicolor, patchworky stuff. I've seen a few other brides wear something similar.

In this pic the colour doesnt look that bad cos u can only see the top of the outfit.
But in this 1, once u see the full outfit, theres way too many different colours. Colour overload!!!

It looks very old fashioned…like the farshi ghararas they used to wear in Lucknow 50 or 60 years ago.

A raani haar is any very long necklace…though you’ll usually hear the term used to refer to a necklace that looks like multiple matching necklaces of varying lengths worn together.
A saat lada is a specific kind of raani haar that is pretty specific to Muslims from old Hyderabad. It consists of seven single strands of pearls of different lengths, each with a small ruby or emerald studded pendant. Its usually worn with a kind of wide choker called a laccha.

i used to hate those saat-laras/raani haars…but now i’m luvin em 
I asked ammi to get me one from pak, even if tis artificial, and she said i can either get that or churiyan..

The kaam looks very bareek & high quality…but the colors are pretty crazy.
It looks like it was probably pretty expensive…I’ve definitely seen stuff like that from Bunto Kazmi.
