what's with the arm band thingy? i've seen so many brides wearing it in the pics that have been posted. any reason for it, or is it just another fashion accessory?
yes..some brides do wear imam zamin but THIS one is wearing a simple 'baazu bund' which usually comes with the jora..just an accessory..nothing special or for a reason

i think the baby is simply nephew/niece of either the bride or the groom(most likely the groom) and baby’s mama made the poor guy hold the baby with a comment like :'dekho beta..mamu /chaachu dulha banay huay hain..mamu/chachu ki goady (lap) may baith jao ’

^ Nevertheless, that is one hilarious picture. It looks like it's a shotgun wedding and the bride is all embarassed of the situation. But we all know it's probably a nephew.

thanks for echoing my sentiments sara! guys if you want this thread to continue please be a little humble with the .comments. Im sure none of you would like it if it were your pics that were being scrutinized in this way and people were judging you and your family members like that saying stuff like oh she looks sad, she looks like she was forced into the marriage, her husband does not look good enough for her etc etc. remember these people really did not put their photos on webshot to be scrutinized like that. They put them there for the benefit of their family and friends. If we’re going to copy and paste them lets show them a little respect.

sheal...too many colours...looks too "busy". might look better without the navy in the dupatta or whatever is hanging on the side...and too much stuff going on on the shirt.
