PS3 will be coming about sometime in 2007. So it should be available in big cities (Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, etc) by then. As for the price, no official price is stated yet, but Sony's CEO hinted that it will be quite pricy, and more of a "family buy", since its one big high definition cutting edge entertainment system. I expect $1000-$1500 which would be 60,000 - 90,000 Pakistani rupees. This is only my estimation though, it might actually turn out to be less/more expensive.

actuall it will be around $ 500 when it comes out. Dont know how much it will be in pak but a direct extimate would be around 30 k .

^ Are you sure Iori? I bought a PS2 for about $400 and that was like one year after its release, and Ken Kutaragi, sony CEO, said the PS3 will be more expensive, and that it would be a "Family Item" and not something an individual kid could afford.
Anyway, 500$ for me is dirty cheap! Can't wait to play MGS4...

lets talk some sense in this, Xbox 360 is already in the market and is available at around £280. The fact remains that it is the only rival PS3 has to compete so there is NO way they will charge £500 - £700 for a consol which is lready 13 months late.

All I know is every time I read in to the news about the PS3's development, I read Ken Kutaragi's trademark words "It'll be more expensive than you think..." "It'll be a family buy."..."This time around, the Play Station isnt just a game console, it's a cutting edge home entertainemnt system"...
When PS3 is introduced to the market, it wont have to use competitive pricing against X Box 360. They will be in different stages of their life cycle, X Box in saturation stage while PS3 in growth stage. The intial boom in demand due to the release will be capitalized by high prices, and then after a period of time, declining sales due to these high prices would be carefully avoided by bringing down the price at the right time, always keeping it at just the right level to maximize profit. In about onr year or so after its release, you can expect both X Box and PS3 to enter fierce competition with each other, which will lead to low prices. (This will be the Ideal time to buy the PS3)

Are you kiddin me? $1000-$1500 for Ps3? No way. It was always speculated to be 500-600 range and today Sony announced that it would be 20GB for $499, 60GB for $599. Europe has 20GB for 499 Euro, 60GB for 599 Euro.

Yeah sorry I kinda overpriced it, but for the stuff it offers, and how Sony cheif is boasting about it, it makes me feel itd be a big one. I bought a PS2 for about $450 when it first came out, so the ps 1 in comparison was only about $250, so i thought th price would double again and come to just under 1000, as sony says "Its a gonna be expensive, more than you'd imagine,"

HI im not sure if psp went in pakistan yet well wait for it hopefully it will come soon in lateron when psp gets really very old for the europeian contries bcouse its new thing in here. i mean in the uk only, its minimum selling price is £150.and dont know what will be the price in pakistan probly will cost you more then million Rs and the other main thing is that you need some games collection for that which cost you as much as you could buy your own house in pakistan.can you donate price of the psp (its better rather then playing the games) to those peoples who got effected by the big earthqueke recently happend in pakistan. think for them first then play any game you wish 2.and plz dont mind abt this bcouse its true.you can not survive of it.thanx:confused:

isnt it enough 4 u that u cant buy sort of things,if so then you can spend this money 4 good things instead of waistin ur money.2 b honest it will worth whn u would like 2 spend ur money on making a house 4 sum1 either in school where children need some meal u can provide them free meal.u get me what im trying 2 say.it will be nice experience 4 u believe me.thanx

the original price for the psp is £229 now a days and hopefully it'll be fall some next couple of months later.this price is 4om sony the best company .
