Few isolated cases were reported of Ebola Fever in Karachi. One of the lady doctoir who treated a patient is also dead. I heard there is one girl of Behria University also suiffering from the same in isolated ward.
Ebola virus is a family member of RNA viruses, it has 4 subtypes, 3 of which can effect humans. It is also called Congo Virus bcos it was first found in Congo in 1976. Not to mention, it is very deadly and can spread rapidly in outbreaks. Lets hope these isolated cases does not turn into some kind of outbreaks.
You bleed out of every oriface and then die immediately. Orifaces are holes in your body...
What happens is that the virus decomposes your innards and liquefies them and they basically ooze out of your body through the openings in your body. That includes the mouth, nose, anus, etc.
Agha Khan University Hospital has sent its report to the ministry of health. According to report AKU Hospital treated 41 such cases alone. 5 of which are dead, 25 recovered and 11 still in the hospital.
Civil Hospital Karachi’s House Officers are on strike for similar reasons asking for an isolated ward for such patients and some other demands for doctors safety.
Funny, none of these news are on gov run channels such as PTV or Geo. U can occasionaly find news on local channels or papers and if u know ppl in CHK, AKU etc. Rather than informing ppl what to do if an outbreak occurs they r trying to cover their arses. But isnt 41 cases in single hospital in two months already a sign of an outbreak?
Thanks for draging Punjab in PCG, so what excuse the government use for not helping in Karachi....Muhajirs are immuned or the virus can not harm Pakistanis since its from Congo. Talk about an educated guess.
Possibly because it is commonly known as the Congo Virus here in Karachi. And yes a lot of cases have turned up, In Aga Khan more than 50 cases had turned up or something like that and from what i last knew 4 kids died due to the congo virus. So basically everyone has been warned here to take precautions.
