Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

Please read CAREFULLY Kamran Khan Article published in ‘THE NEWS’ on 5th August … a day before impeachment was decided … and reason would become obvious why American backed demothuggery led by two notorious thugs want to impeach President. (Source: US told not to back terrorism against Pakistan). It is clear that malicious plans are on table against Pakistan in some important world capitals, and biggest obstacle in implementing those plans is ISI and Army, backed by President Musharraf in government. Once President Musharraf is gone, it would be easy to control and neutralise both Army and ISI.

On 12th July, American Chairman joint Chief of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen and CIA deputy director Stephen B Kappes came to Pakistan and had meetings with President Musharraf, Army Chief Kiyani and ISI DG Nadeem Taj. American visitors alleged Pakistan of supporting Taliban but were told that it is not the case and explanation was given. Anyhow, along with explanting and defending own innocence, Americans were told in clear words with proofs that USA is abetting or showing indifference towards anti-Pakistan terrorists active in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

It is well known to anyone who can think and scrutinise western as well as Pakistani news media intelligently, that behind the scene, vested interests in West are working against President seeing him as biggest obstacle to their own malicious plans towards Pakistan. Propping up judges, using two-faced politicians like Atitaz, facilitating return of Mega crooks and Thugs to Pakistan, etc, was part of same game. Now, after clear proof and blunt accusation of supporting anti-Pakistani terrorists, it seems those behind malicious plan against Pakistan have decide to go for final showdown using their strings in Pakistani politics, hence impeachment.

US told not to back terrorism against Pakistan
Tuesday, August 05, 2008
By Kamran Khan

KARACHI: Pakistan has complained to the United States military leadership and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that Washington’s policy towards terrorism in Pakistan was inconsistent with America’s declared commitment to the war against terror.

Impeccable official sources have said that strong evidence and circumstantial evidence of American acquiescence to terrorism inside Pakistan was outlined by President Pervez Musharraf, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Nadeem Taj in their separate meetings with US Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen and CIA Deputy Director Stephen R Kappes on July 12 in Rawalpindi.

The visit by the senior US military official along with the CIA deputy director — carrying what were seen as India-influenced intelligence inputs — hardened the resolve of Pakistanís security establishment to keep supreme Pakistan’s national security interest even if it meant straining ties with the US and Nato.

A senior official with direct knowledge of these meetings said that Pakistan’s military leadership and the president asked the American visitors “not to distinguish between a terrorist for the United States and Afghanistan and a terrorist for Pakistan”.

For reasons best known to Langley, the CIA headquarters, as well as the Pentagon, Pakistani officials say** the Americans were not interested in disrupting the Kabul-based fountainhead of terrorism in Balochistan nor do they want to allocate the marvellous predator resource to neutralise the kingpin of suicide bombings against the Pakistani military establishment now hiding near the Pak-Afghan border.**

In the strongest evidence-based confrontation with the American security establishment since the two countries established their post-9/11 strategic alliance, Pakistani officials proved Brahamdagh Bugti’s presence in Afghan intelligence safe houses in Kabul, his photographed visits to New Delhi and his orders for terrorism in Balochistan.

The top US military commander and the CIA official were also asked why the CIA-run predator and the US military did not swing into action when they were provided the exact location of Baitullah Mehsud, Pakistan’s enemy number one and the mastermind of almost every suicide operation against the Pakistan Army and the ISI since June 2006.

One such precise piece of information was made available to the CIA on May 24 when Baitullah Mehsud drove to a remote South Waziristan mountain post in his Toyota Land Cruiser to address the press and returned back to his safe abode. The United States military has the capacity to direct a missile to a precise location at very short notice as it has done close to 20 times in the last few years to hit al-Qaeda targets inside Pakistan.

Pakistani official have long been intrigued by the presence of highly encrypted communications gear with Baitullah Mehsud. This communication gear enables him to collect real-time information on Pakistani troop movement from an unidentified foreign source without being intercepted by Pakistani intelligence.

Admiral Mullen and the CIA official were in Pakistan on an unannounced visit on July 12 to show what the US media claimed was evidence of the ISI’s ties to†Taliban commander Maulana Sirajuddin Haqqani and the alleged involvement of Pakistani agents in the bombing of the Indian embassy in Kabul.

Pakistani military leaders rubbished the American information and evidence on the Kabul bombing but provided some rationale for keeping a window open with Haqqani, just as the British government had decided to open talks with some Taliban leaders in southern Afghanistan last year.

Before opening new channels of communication with the Taliban in Helmand province in March this year, the British and Nato forces were talking to leading Taliban leaders through†Michael Semple, the acting head of the European Union mission to Afghanistan, and Mervyn Patterson, a senior UN official, before their unprecedented expulsion from Afghanistan by the Karzai government†in January this year.

The American visitors were also told that the government of Pakistan had to seek the help of Taliban commanders such as Sirajuddin Haqqani for the release of its kidnapped ambassador Tariquddin Aziz, after the US-backed Karzai administration failed to secure Aziz’s release from his captors in Afghanistan.

Admiral Mullen and Kappes were both provided information about the activities of the Indian consulates in Kandahar and Jalalabad and were asked how the CIA does not know that both Indian consulates are manned by Indian Intelligence who plot against Pakistan round the clock.

“ We wanted to know when our American friends would get interested in tracking down the terrorists responsible for hundreds of suicide bombings in Pakistan and those playing havoc with our natural resources in Balochistan while sitting in Kabul and Delhi,”, an official described the Pakistani mood during the July 12 meetings.

Throughout their meetings, the Americans were told that Pakistan would like to continue as an active partner in the war against terror and at no cost would it allow its land to be used by our people to plot terror against Afghanistan or India . However, Pakistan would naturally want the United States, India and Afghanistan to refrain from supporting Pakistani terrorists.

Pakistani officials have said that the current “trust deficit” between the Pakistani and US security establishment is not serious enough to lead to a collapse , but the element of suspicion is very high, more so because of† the CIA’s decision to publicise the confidential exchange of information with Pakistan and to use its leverage with the new government to try to arm-twist the Army and the ISI.

The Pakistani security establishment, officials said, want a fresh round of strategic dialogue with their counterparts in the US, essentially to prioritise the objectives and terrorist targets in the war against terror, keeping in mind the serious national security interests of the allies.

Re: Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

>>Once President Musharraf is gone, it would be easy to control and neutralise both Army and ISI.

Now please tell us...who will and can control or nuetralize Pakistan Armed Forces and the ISI?

:rotfl:

Aab aap ko atna bhie samajh may nahie aata hay? Nawaz Shareef tried to neutralize the army and ISI for his Master in Washington before 1999, but forces retaliated and he was sent to his Master's colony in Middle East. Now, Nawaz has found another partner in Zardari, so they both have joined strength to do the same. Anyhow, let see as there could be some Trojan horses in the game.

Re: Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

ISI head has no credibility in this matter and his statement does not constitute evidence.

As to Musharaf and Kiyani "telling" USA to send in missiles into Pakistan to a location they name is absolutely laughable. Even if they do (or anyone else in Pakistan does) US simply dismisses such info as an attempt to use US missiles to settle internal scores. Andthey're right.

In fact Pakistan government has been on record repeatedly and in strongest terms that they want the process the other way ie USA give them info and they will attack inside Pakistan, not USA.

So this whole theory is just humbug.

Wow...you can't be serious thugs like Nawaz and Zardari could manipulate the Army and the ISI...look at the history of Pakistan...these army and ISI guys are there to serve till their pensions...while the volatile politicians come and go on daily basis...lol

Why ISI head has no credibility? Is it just because you say so?

Why what Musharraf, Kiyani and Nadeem Taj told to Americans is wrong when they also gave proofs and reasons for their beliefs? We all know that BLA is operating in Balochistan from Afghanistan, and Indians are behind them (possibly Afghanistan government and some in West too), so if USA is so concerned about terrorists operating from Pakistan against them, they have to look after the terrorists acting against Pakistan from under their nose.

As for Pakistan telling USA to give them information about any target in Pakistan that USA many time violated, then why they do not give information about those targets who are operating against Pakistan or acted against these targets themselves? Plus, as Pakistan beliefs with some proofs that miscreants who are working against Pakistan have sophisticated equipments and weapons, then if it is true, valid question arises that where these things are coming to them.

You are right that these crooks and thugs come and go. Problem is that these people (especially in Pakistan) have little loyalty to anything but themselves and money. These days, they also bent to damage the country for personal revenge (they were stopped from looting and plundering for 8 years), without even realising that the damage could be permanent.

Once in power, they are capable of doing irreparable damage to the country and when backed by western powers having marked influence amongst Muslim countries who have control over mental state of many retards in Pakistan (due to sectarian affiliation), Media propaganda machine working day and night churning misinformation for vested interests, selected crooks and thieves from past government services providing their service for payment, Interest of Eastern neighbour using all resources to help them, and so on ... plus propaganda that started few years ago has created many who can defend Pakistan on their back foot, then task is not too difficult even if not very easy.

Re: Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

/\ I guess this time ISI is watching the loot…won’t be easy for these crooks to get away…just my instinct…

Funds and things are dwindling under the government elected by our folks…

PS: I respect more your economic analysis as I have read in your other posts elsewhere… :k:

Re: Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

This whole thing is about oil, and that needs to flow through tribal area and through balochistan.

thats why BLA is all okay with its folks sitting in DC, and why ppl like Mehsud get released. and why drug lords are pandered to in afghanistan, after all the pipes will go through their territories..or the game from diff sides on trying to work out somethign with tribals, FATA and their pals even while there is a lot of smack talk.

The architects and consultants to that entire oil plan ..kharzai, khalilzad, Cheney are all around ya know. for all u know, in the end, tribals will be appeased on some sort of ethnically desired solution, pakistan will be pointed to as the bad guy for taking action in Tribal areas...Kaachi status is already a little dodgy and especially after porclamations fo Mustafa kamal and with his boss sitting in UK that shows some interest there in other arrangements.

things would have been just fine had the moron talebans used their heads when they were being wined and dined..well just dined in US on the oil thing topc and not gotten too big for their britches and tied that to the Israel/palestine situation. Now that is going to bite the whole area.

.

The crooks wouldn't have come to Pakistan had Mush not issued NRO, had he not agreed on deals after deals. You jump to conclusion that the cooks are implanted to neutralise army/ISI while you don't see Musharraf's participation in the same game.

How did Nawaz do that? All he did was try to remove Musharraf and appoint someone he trusted more as COAS, how does that contribute to "neutralise" army and ISI?

Benazir did something in past by sacking a good size of army as "conspirators", how many of them were in ISI I don't know.

I don't think there is any hint of "telling" USA to send missiles, the article says that US military was asked why did they not send missile when Baitullah Mehsud (a top taliban militant) was pointed out.

Why do YOU think US military didn't shoot a missile when Mehsud's info was given out?

Are you really serious or is just a sarcastic rambling? :D. Not that I want to shrug it off, but just want to know. Though I agree that there is a big plan in the name of War on Terror (and its not about "Islam", atleast thus far it seems).

Extremism and Islamic militancy have traditonally been the strong fort and strategic asset of Pakistan's security and intelligence establishment. If Baitullah Mahsood or other war lords in FATA were really enemy agents, Pakistani establishment would've long ago eliminated them like they did in the case of Akbar Bugti.

Further, why is there militancy in FATA and NWFP and why isn't it there in Pashtun areas of Baluchistan?

This video is worth watching.

What do you mean by, Pashtun areas and mixing it with militancy? Who told you that Pashtuns have to be militant, militants have to be Pashtun, or militancy is from Pashtun areas? There is no link between terrorism and area, but link is between terrorism and misguided people. That misguided people could be from anywhere in Pakistan or world. People in Al-qaida are not Pashtun neither Terrorist leaders of Lal-Masjid were Pashtun. On the other hand, vast majority of people living in FATA or Sarhad (NWFP) are law abiding respectable citizens of Pakistan, not involved in any sort of militancy or terrorism. Actually, they are biggest Pakistani community who are victim of militancy and terrorism, as many terrorists belonging to all over Pakistan as well as from outside Pakistan have taken refuge in the area they live.

Re: Possible obvious reason behind Impeachment

Possible obvious reason behind "President" Musharraf's impeachment

A few obvious ones:

  • Incompetent commander (Kargil) -Incompetent and Ruthless Leader (Forming a party out of corrupt ex-cons, using Biological weapons on trapped hostages i.e. Lal Masjid) -Anti-Democracy (Put the CJ and staff under house arrest along with families, for the fear of an unfavorable ruling against his "presidency") -Human trafficker (Detaining and selling Pakistani citizens at a clearance price of $5000/head) -Human Rights Violater (Torture and jailing of innocent protestants/journalists/kids/elderly/females) -Corrupt (Responsible for US Aid which never reached the people of Pakistan whom it was meant for)

And more.....

How do we know that somebody within Pakistan govt/military/ISI is not feeding wrong info on purpose to get rid of their favorite enemy?

But more likely, such advise never happened

May be you should decide first whether its the former part of your post or latter. For latter part, we can always challenge whether US agency actually showed any legit proofs or it was only for bullying etc. We can either take what is being published and criticised based on that or we can generate our very own conspiracy theories, your pick.
