Re: Possibility of Revolution in Pakistan?
The only revolution that pakistan needs is to remove its current ruling elite. That and remove the culture of "VIP" and give power to the police ( who have some morals).

Re: Possibility of Revolution in Pakistan?
to prevent any revolution, there will always be power crisis, suger, flour, water crisis soon and so forth.
In my view revolutions only occur when a sizable segment of the population finds a cause that they perceives to be worthy of sacrificing everything for & the silent majority while may not be prepared to pay the blood price with, have sympathies for the revolutionaries, to fight the injustices. Race, nationalism, Ideas & leadership may all play a critical part in it.
However, for a revolution fundamentally the only requirements are an alive nation & circumstances that call for a revolution, all other things emerge naturally in due course.
On the surface our nation seems dead, even considering ourselves as a single nation is increasingly becoming questionable, but then that is how every nation in the history has appeared in the decades preceding to the revolution; be it French Revolution, Bolshevik Revolution or the greatest revolution of history; the revolution of the arab nation & the creation of Muslim Ummah by our holy Prophet PBUH.
I dont think our nation is dead now or anytime soon, we saw a glimpse of our national character in the immediate after math of earthquake in 2005 the government failed miserably & quite frankly the crises was not managed in the most apt manner but the courage of people from all parts of Pakistan was exemplary.
Another example was sudden eruption of 'civil society' during the movement for restoration of judiciary, the motives of the people benefiting from the movement can be questioned & it can be argued what was achieved from this 2 year long movement, but what that proved beyond doubt is that this nation is prepared to fight given that it believes in the sanctity of a cause.
While there is nothing on the ground to suggest a revolution, but there is enough evidence of life in this nation that the possibility of a revolution cannot be out rightly rejected.

These crises are the basic reason for any revolution. But he revolution would be diverted on certain other things - main being the provincial bias by exploiting leaders.
I hope that this is the case. For the Pakistani people to rise up against their oppressors and truly realize the principles of "Unity, Faith & Discipline" as espoused by Quaid e Azam.
I am agreed with u, and I am sure there is thousands may be millions who they need that kind of revulation, some of them looking for a mircle and some still dont know how it start........ Lekin Revulation tou ek nation ya ek soch se start hoti hai and here we are five different nations and dozens of religion sects.
There is also a millions of good souls who always prayers for stability and unity of Pakistan by all meanings, duaen kabhi khali nahi jateen Allah Almight watching everything...... InshaAllah Pakistan main revulation aega Becoz Allah Tallah ke han Dair hai Andhair nahi........

there wont be much of a revolution when you have power hungry despots, corrupt and ineffective politicians leading it. what woul be the benefit of people like ZAB leading a revolution? it wouldbe from one corrupt incomptent ruler to another.
i do hope for some sort of revolution which gets rid of those parasitical excuses for politicians, democrats, mullahs, generals, bureaucrats - the ones who do no good anyway!
