Positive change in Pakistan cricket

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

^Zobia, your lengthy post does not make any impact on my stand and statement.I have already said about one thing and that's I need results and not commitments.I do not care whether these players are out there for 6-7 hours and they need to show their ambit in that short span of time etc etc because thats why thery are there and thats why they are being paid for!!! If they can't perform they are out of the scene and noone is going to side with them saying that a player, Mr.X ,Or a Team X,could not yield the desired result because he/Team was given just 6-7 hours of the day!!!.

If players are selected to a national team it's their duty to perform and bring results and not just sheer commitments.

Thats why I have given an example of a country fighting a war.....

yes it was my decision to see them and they cant force me but if they do not satisfy my requirements then they wont be there to show me anymore. Its simple, they wont get spectators to watch them perform any more....

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

^ there is a difference between playing cricket and fighting in a war. send indian cricket team to kashmir cuz then they will committed to it 100% since they have to fight for their lives.

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

^Childish statement.

It’s about producing result and thats why I have given that example.

O.K Since you have started this discussion… Did Bangladesh attain Liberation just with a freedom movement or by the surrender of Mr.Niazi and entourage?

O.K The answer is ,with he and his accomplices surrendered. Now there was commitment …commitment from M.B but that did not prove anything because they had to oust Pakistanis from Bangladesh and untill the previous day, 15th December of 1971, they had not achieved it because Pakistan was virtually ruling the country but on 16 th december everything changed..So thats the Result…

This is the difference between commitment and Result…

Pls do not bring politics in to this discussion. Thanks  :k:

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

no its not a childish statement. if someone is good in it or better than you doesn’t mean that its their passion.

its a human thingee to evolve every second. commitment requires consistency. so your example best suited for your profession, but not a demand of every other profession.

if you want 100% result then its useless to waste time on humans, work with japan and make a Robotic Indian cricket team.

it will for sure get u results, the results u need to see :k:

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

^I think you have not seen real humans then......

Australia continued to produce results for years and it was not a robotic team....

U.S has been the unquestioned world super power for decades.............

Indian/ Pakistan hockey teams had been winners for decades......

Pakistan's Jehangir Khan has been a consistent winner..............

You want more examples of humans/group of humans continue to deliver results...........?

Again Humans formulate their ideas and ideology from their experiences.I have been consecutive winner in my field and I demand success from my guys and not their commitments.Their commitments are of zero value when I report to my bosses..They will just ask for my RESULTS ...Simple :)

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

There are millions who put in 100% (or more) effort but go unnoticed/unnamed. The only ones we know about are those that produce results :hehe:

Re: Positive change in Pakistan cricket

Note:

This thread is about how after a long time we are seeing positive changes in Pakistan cricket. They are playing to their potential thus the results. Please don't derail the topic.

The most positive change for me is Younis Khan's captaincy, the way the team is showing fighting spirit and playing to it's potential at last. The way youngsters are being backed by Younis Khan.

The same guys were wayward under Inzi and Malik and they were doing too much politics as well. Now it seems that performance on the field is being taken into account...and that is why Misbah was sacked (for NZ series), Akhtar is not in the team, Salman Butt and Sohail Tanvir were dropped

And even if they are losing they are going down fighting; that is what we all want to see... and credit has to go to the captain (Younis Khan) for that. Yes we saw a couple of collapses during the test series in Sri Lanka but there is not much any captan can do about that.

Osman Samiuddin is right when he says this (referring to Pak-Aus game)

[QUOTE]

There is not a country in the world that can pull off, even precipitate, the kind of crazy that Pakistan did here, let alone with the regularity that Pakistan does it. It is unique and it is theirs to unveil when they see fit. They have done it across the ages, in most countries, in all conditions, against all opposition and it is a thrill unlike others. Usually it happens at least likely moments when the game is drifting.

We now have four decent pacers in Asif, Gul, Rana and Aamer, and back up in the form of *Kaka *(Razzaq), Sohail Tanvir, Sohail Khan and Talha...and Rao (even though I don't rate him that highly) has done well in ODIs

Batting inconsistencies though remain a worry and give you the biggest headaches from time to time
Besides we could do with less politics in PCB/Team management
