yes because people in the types of professions interact
with people all the time, as it is their job.
If you are dealing with them it makes sense to check if your noggin is well.

YES. Oh my GOD. Have I met a bunch of wack jobs in my life, and they're going to be professionals out there being entrusted with massive amounts of responsibility.
The suicide rate is higher than it needs to be amongst doctors, so they really should be screened. That's not to say they wont escape it, honestly, because they just have to lie their way through a screening. If you're smart, you'll know exactly how to make yourself look like a perfectly HEALTHY person, when you're really not.
Best thing to do is really emphasize to applicants that what they are getting themselves into will test every fiber of their being, so if they want easy money, they should find another route.
