well umm
just a thought
i mean i know pork and sharab both are haram in Islam
well i have seen almost every paki abroad drinking
so thing i was wondering when we all know that both things are haram and have the same consequences then why some ppl still drink and to top if off they dont even touch pork.
so i was wondering is there any thing which says pork is more haram then sharab ?
i mean even arabs drink heavily. and i am not just saying it i know ppl who do it regularly.
and and well thats about it
so what u guys say about it ?

coz I know many of them who never ahve touched Alocohol in there life, no matter where they have lived..
and its there way , how they want to pass there lives..
some even know that dating, and love maiking other than your wife is Haramm, but they still do it,..

Alchohol is fascinating where as Pork is disgusting. What would you rather be more prone to commit? adultery or eating pork..
I think eating pork is worse than having alcohol. Pork, like sherrybaba said, is disgusting and repulsive. Pigs eat their own feces, and farmers feed them buckets of worms in their farms. Why would anyone in their right mind want to eat meat from an animal which has been grown and raised to eat their own feces and worms? Can you imagine how bad that meat must be for the human body?
Both are disgusting actions, and I have touched neither, both are vices of the man to try and get brothers to turn there back on Allah, shame on those who indulge in what the man has prescribed for you. The man is a devil, crafted and aims to destroy the world.
At least one of these two "disgusted actions" was "Halal" to muslims for sometime after Islam was revealed.
The only reason Muslims are indulged in Alcohol is simply that alcohol has addictive, intoxicating and habitual properties which Pork does not bear, If Pork was to have similar properties it was to be consumes equally lavishly.
But Alcohol is not all bad and it has many benefits and medically therapeutic and antiseptic properties and is used extensively in medicine.
Even in Koran, Muslims are told not to " Drink and Pray"

It's sad how people try to confuse and divert minds.
no religen approves alcoholic . can anybody quote any religen orders its followers to drink alcohol?
pig valves are the most suitable replacemnt for human heart valve.
somehow pigs organ fit perfectly in humans. who knows one day we can harvest genetically modified kidneys from pigs which will be great
life savers for kidney dialysis patients.

this argument makes me laugh everytime i hear it.
would u start eating pork PROVIDED that they technological advances stop any pig eating its own $hit and pig becomes a normal clean animal like chicken or lamb?
a yes or no would be enough for an answer and then u can explain whatever u wanna explain :).
all the meats even fruits and vegetables can be contaminated
and can cause serious illness if not cleaned properly.
how many times tons of meats recalled. chikens are contamintaed by salamonella.

No I wouldn't, however if that were to happen, which I highly doubt, then the meat wouldn't be so bad for the human body as it currently is right now.
u are forgetting that eating pork is allowed when forced by famine.... so what's 'haraam' is actually more of an 'abomination'... I mean take adultery as an example.. no allowances there no matter how horny u feel.

last thing you will find during famine is a fat pig wating to be eaten.
One argument (albeit a weak one) can be that alcohol was once allowed in Islam, whereas pork was never allowed.
Apart from that, one reason for why Muslims tend to go towards alcohol more casually than do they towards pork is because alcohol gives them a high that no other drink does. Whereas, pork has no such unique feature, since its just meat, and if not told before hand, many of us might not be able to tell the difference between pork meat and cow meat. They both look similar, and Id presume, taste similar as well. So since theres nothing unique to be had in pork, free-wheeling muslims can 'afford' not to go towards it. Alcohol, on the other hand, provides them with something unique, the substitute of which is not available in any of the things that have been made halal for us.

and even if it is.
jeez its forbidden so u r saying that coz its not as filthy as pork so we can use it as a reason for doing it.

My Take On This.
well what i think is that there are few factors which over-rides the ban on sharab in our minds.
first it was halal during early years of islam and was banned after a son started swearing on his dad after getting drunk
the other is that if u r from south asia. u get to hear about it alot.
I mean face it almost everybody in south Asia know and read about ghalib. and he was a huge drinker.
look @ our history. mughals. they were quite drinkers as well.
then there is the thril of getting outa ur senses while drinking liquor.
so i think those were the only reason which makes liqour less haram in our heads. But yeah it bears same cosequences as eating pork
and lol trust me its not less filthier then pork either.
