population is not the problem, its the miss management of population that is problem... we could have done a lot better with this ever growing workforce, we still can do a lot i believe

were people in general better off when we had less people around? its a genuine question, I dont know. these worries about overpopulation are so malthusian. people think its going to set off some sort of crisis if we overtake indonesia. so what if we do? is indonesia some sort of third world craphole? no. its doing very well. its about the same size as us too.
france was given as an example, you realise that france is in crisis mode because of exactly that. they're having to invest in technology to ensure someone is around to take care of their elderly and having to hire people from abroad because their workforce is depleted.
im not saying everyone having 10 kids regardless of his means is a good thing. jitni chadar utne pao phelao. but surely thats down to individual responsibility and his/her assessment of who he can support. what we should advocate is responsible parenting thats all.

The only way to effectively control the population, as its has been shown time and again is through literacy, specifically female literacy. It seems, that once you make the female population more upwardly mobile, they are more aware off, and and more likely to adopt proper family planning.

If there is no work, what will workforce do? We need to control breeding & we need to take drastic steps to do it. We are running out of water & other live sustaining natural resources, and this can't go on forever.

if there is no work, we need to create work, its as simple as that...
and if the management is poor such that it cannot generate enough work for the current population, there is no reason to believe that when the population is reduced they will be able to generate work, the lazy will become lazier, the corrupt will become even more corrupt. no other way, just make everyone work, you have 100s of thousands of barren land, why not cultivate more crops there? dont have water why not build more dams? after all you have 100s of thousands of job less people, put them to work, make more dams for example.
you dont have enough machinery and technology to build roads and other communication structures faster? no problem, you have a whole lot of jobless chaps, most of them are unskilled, put them to work, make roads, make schools, make bridges, grow crops there is a lot we can do, all we need is will... instead of using the people to some good, we try to get rid of them so that we don't have to do anything creative...

We haven't done much with this population and with the whole inaccessability of balochistan due to sardars, how will Pakistan handle such population? It would have been good if balochistan could be developed which will shift some population there as well as provide employment for businesses that work with mineral extraction directly or indirectly.

some parts of Balochistan being not accessible is not the license to corruption and incompetency. even if major portion of Balochistan is not accessible, it doesn't mean that population is the problem and it should be reduced, it simply means that we need to work towards a solution to make it accessible and that's it. there is no excuse.

they should make a law that every married men should have a poster of her above his bed or on his pillow . that should do it.

Population of Pakistan is not a problem- we are way lesser populated than India and more people means more people are there to help- we can have more aalims, more people to offer namaz together. The reason India is a bully is because of her huge population- the day Pakistan becomes more populous than India, India will be afraid of Pakistan. I guess population growth is a good thing for Pakistan. We have a lot of empty land in Balochistan and Bahwalpur that needs to be filled up plus lot of people settle in the West and Arab countries. I myself come from a family of 11 kids- I have 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Having visited India and witnessed rotten corpses being eaten by wild dogs in the street and having to dodge human fecal matter on every street corner, I'm not sure I would like to see Pakistan in the same state.
Pakistan could have a population of 2 billion, and while maybe a 100 million would benefit from such a population figure, the rest would be left to starve and live in abject poverty.
