Our history books (I studied in central board) closes history as soon as Goa is liberated in 1962, they know further teaching means justifying emergency even:D

Junagarh had somnath temple hence it was necessary, the only way to hold kashmir was to make it hang and never allow plebiscite to occur. Raja Hari singh who was thinking of keeping kashmir independent rightly played into the trap of Patel. Pakistan lost the patience and attacked giving him precisely what he wanted. He asked raja to accede to India and he would help, both parties promptly did so. India held entire Kashmir valley including Barfani Baba Bholenath of Amarnath
