Some things to ponder upon

“Every soul shall have a taste of death
And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense
Only he who is saved far from the fire
And admitted to the Garden will have obtained the object (of life)
For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception” 3:185

“When My servants ask thee concerning Me,
I am indeed close (to them)
I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me
Let them also, with a will, listen to My call
And believe in Me
That they may walk in the right way.” 2:185

(10) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, "When it is the last third of the night, our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, descends every night to the heaven of the world and says, ‘Is there anyone who invokes Me (demand anything from Me), that I may respond to his invocation; Is there anyone who asks Me for something that I may give (it to) him; Is there anyone who asks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?’ " (Book 75, Hadith #333)

(45) Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard the Prophet saying, “If somebody commits a sin and then says, ‘O my Lord! I have sinned, please forgive me!’ and his Lord says, ‘My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sins).’ Then he remains without committing any sin for a while and then again commits another sin and says, ‘O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,’ and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sin). Then he remains without Committing any another sin for a while and then commits another sin (for the third time) and says, ‘O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,’ and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for it I therefore have forgiven My slave (his sin), he can do whatever he likes.” (Book #93, Hadith #598)

Oh Allah, help us, forgive us, protect us from Your displeasure, and instill the light of emaan in our hearts. Ameen.
