i am talking about the GS women, who are definitely i think i believe are the Aristotle/Plato of desi womanhood.
Women can tolerate adultery because they can manage to make themselves believe out was a mistake and it didn't mean anything. Polagamy is a consensual rishta where it cannot be a mistake, there is more than a possibility that he loves her ( maybe even more gasps) and its permanent and something that cannot be pushed under a rug or kept behind closed doors. Sharing is not easy and that is why polygamy is more unacceptable than adultery. Just my opinion.

in islam it is the other way around - this is what happens when ppl are left on their own, they flip all the rules and get all confused

What you ladies will prefer a husband married to another lady or a husband who had committed adultery?
Neither. I prefer a husband who does not have a sexual relationship with any other woman. This matter isn't up for negotiation.
I find out he had (or is having) a sexual relationship with another woman, him and I will have problems. How that woman knows my husband is not my concern. Whether she's a prostitute, co-worker, neighbor, mistress, or 2nd wife.........her "title" doesn't matter to me.

If he's committing adultery, he isn't about to confess to you all his dark secrets! So forget about forgiving, you'd be lucky if you even found out! At least with polygamy, he's being upfront about it and doing it the halal way.
A real mard ka bacha, however, is one who wouldn't drool over another woman to begin with and, if he does, he would have the decency to ask for and respect his first wife's opinion.
I wouldn't forgive either and that's something I'll be explicit about during the pre-nikah interview phase thingamajig.

Those guys who are saying polygyny should be put up with just cos it’s halal as if you’d be ok with your wife having had 20 halal bfs/sex partners thru misyar (before you come along) cos according to Islam says that would be perfectly fine as well
