Though I hate both adultery and polygamy and prefer none. But if I had to choose I'd say adultery is better as, he might think he's made a mistake and then come back to you at a later point.

With polygamy you've basically lost him for good unless you can make him divorce his second wife! lol But really choosing between these two things as a woman is like choosing between two different ways of dying or murder.

there is no comparison between polygamy and adultery.............. polygamy is kosher and adultery is non koshar.......... how can your compare them.............

If my husband commit adultery i would never ever forgive him........... but i can forgive polygamy..... at least he wouldn't cross his limits............

acha? in either case, your hubbyji is having le sax with someone else.

in the case of polygamy, your hubbyji’s income gets divided between you and wife #2. probably other resources too. fight over who will sit in the front seat of the car. etc etc.

when hubbyji dies, wifey #2 and her 10 kids will haRap all the jaidaat.

adultery is so much more pleasant in comparison. :snooty:

Misyar or adultery would be a better comparison..

If I had to choose between polygyny and adultery honestly it would be adultery as it's more likely to be short-term and maybe (and it's a small maybe) I could get over it but I won't stay with a 'part-time' husband who'll be sleeping with another woman** for the rest of my life..**

@OP. I don't think ya're question is fair yo. Adultery and practicing polygyny are two different things. And i have yet to find a woman who accepts polygyny as a form of arrangement.

^It's not exactly uncommon for polygny to come about after a guy has been seeing the woman behind wife no.1's back.. it makes sense that some women would find it easier to tolerate (in relative terms) a short-term fling over another woman being around permanently..

Also as well as the practical issues of working and running a household on my own for half the time I'd have physical/sexual needs as well.. husband has his right to be sexually satisfied and so have I.. I would never tolerate a guy who was around for 50% of the time - at most - for the rest of my life.. He might have the right to take another wife but I also have the right not to be part of that arrangement..

You know, guys are really missing the point here. There is another option you know. How about being faithful and loving to your WIFE. And not horsing around looking at other girls. ??

In polygamy at least he is not committing zina… but in adultery he is…

I said i would forgive him for polygamy i didn’t say i would accept his second wife… he would have to give her divorce otherwise no forgiveness :stuck_out_tongue:

I am surprised so many are choosing adultery (a sin) over polygamy on the basis of he will "get out of it".

Accepting and/or forgiving adultery? Nope, never. Out of the question. Then divorce will be inevitable :mad: And he shouldn’t even dare to think about taking a 2nd, 3rd or 4th wife. Then I will be less harsh, he will be allowed to chose between two options, one will be divorce :halo:
