Excuse me? How am I being racist? Aren’t you the one who’s acting like one by implying it’s somehow a catastrophe that the members of a certain province posted a lot more in your thread than the others? Oh my heavens someone protect us from all these damn Punjabis and bring on the Balochis to protect us!!!

That’s a more logical reason for not enough representation by the Balochis here than whatever reason OP wants to come up with.

Well what about the ones outside Pakistan?According to jolie her balochi friends would get banned from this site.

Well if the Balochis come here being racist about other ethnic groups or talk about breaking apart Pakistan then it would be a ban.

Heck, whoever it is. We have banned anyone who's being racist regardless of who they are. Its that simple.

If you think about it then Punjabi and Sindhi are not ethnicities either. These identities are more linguistic and cultural construct.

As far as my family: Started as Arab, but mixed along the way. Heavily Persian, significantly Indian, and for some inexplicable reason, a bit Mongoloid as well?! May be Hazara.
I myself appear to be some one from Uzbekistan. That is what I have been told.

I’ve studied with international Baloch students in London. Very good looking guys, but also very very proud of their tribal culture and norms - no matter good or bad. You could tell they belonged to rich, influential and armed Sardar families from back home, but they had very little respect and interest for mainstream politics. Again, it ties back with their strong tribal roots. And even they’re are forced to take part in mainstream political debates - they get increasingly anti army and anti Punjabi (to them there isn’t really a difference between the both). But I’m still in touch with them, they’ve always been be pretty cool with me despite confronting my love and passion politics - same with tribal Pathans I’ve befriended over the years. Despite these people almost restorting to racism in their misplaced frustration, they are without a doubt some of the best people I’ve met. I’ve enjoyed my interaction with them far more than time I’ve spent with Pakistanis belonging to other Cities - minus Lahories of course.

My father has a very close childhood Baloch friend, he’s second generation Lahori now based in Islamabad, and some big shot in PIA, doesn’t care about politics, as long as he’s got people in his pocket, and of course, some money as well. There’re pretty neutralised as a family (women are more Balochified than men), but they claim to be proper Baloch’s when it comes to marrying and *re-marrying. *

Let me share something with you. We had a Balcoh lady moderator. Guess which forum she moderated? PA :) I'm talking of Rangoli.

I had an interaction with a common poster Mir Baloch in History forum. He used to open lot of threads on Baloch History. He is not posting any more, like many people get busy.

As far as being pissed off, why one would be banned if he/ she got a chance to express his / her views in a civilised manner? I'm a Sindhi and modering culture forum since more than 3 years, I never got racist comments whenever I shared anything about my culture. Everyone participated and encouraged me to come up with new topics. When we can accommodate Indian posters with differing views, rest assured Balochs will not be banned for expressing their views.

Was your point in starting this thread to prove your hypothesis that people don't really care about Balochis therefore it's alright that they don't consider themselves Pakistani? Because it sure as heck seems like that to me. And if that was the case why didn't you just say so in the first place? This entire website is there to discuss things, not imply things in a very hidden and covert manner. No one would have raised an eyebrow if that was indeed your first post, instead of "well I'm just taking a quick survery".

And my "so" comment wasn't not so, who cares. I wanted you to finish your sentence, which you left in a lurch by posting

You missed the point where I said they can easily get very anti army and anti Punjabi.

But then again, I don't know if it was mainly to wind me up (lol) or they really believed that. I think the most part of answer lies in the former.

They're typical spoilt Sardar kids, debating on internet is probably not their thing. Well now even I'm interested to ask him to join.
