Because it isn’t; it would be like calling ‘American’ and ‘British’ ethnic groups, but they aren’t, Pakistan’s a diverse country so there’s nothing wrong in taking pride in your ethnic heritage.

I'm not 'searching' for them, but based on the comments on this thread, the majority of users here are Punjabi, there isn't really much diversity here which is pretty sad.

I'm not 'searching' for them, but based on the comments on this thread, the majority of users here are Punjabi, there isn't really much diversity here which is pretty sad.

because it gives a skewed impression of what Pakistan really is, i think smaller ethnic groups should be more active on these forums cause the bigger ones paint Pakistan the way they like it.

I don't think the "ethnic" groups are giving any skewed impression of what the Pakistani culture is as a whole. While the membership might be concentrated towards one particular province, it doesn't mean that the entire forum has been "Punjabified". You don't see the entire GS using Punjabi in the forums, in fact the major language being spoken is English, and then closely followed by Urdu. And are you really surprised that the majority of the people responding to this thread are Punjabi, when 53.7% of the population is Punjabi, followed by Sindhi who make 22% of the population. Besides, the forum attracts expatriats more so than actual people living in Pakistan, so shouldn't you be saying "how sad, a Pakistani forum that isn't really composed of people actually living in Pakistan."

Actually Punjabis only make up around 40% of the population, the government's always skewed the census; not all expats are Punjabi or Sindhi, they're of different ethnic groups too however perhaps the others do not consider themselves Pakistani........

Fine, according to you Punjabis make only 40%. Fine. It's still a big majority of the overall population. Based on that simple statistic, it's not surprising that in 1 thread, out of 20 posts, you will have more Punjabis replying than not. It still doesn't make it somehow sad. Like I said, I don't seen any broad Punjabifying of the forums. And are you implying the only true Pakistanis are only Punjabi and Sindhi because the others have not decided to reply in your thread? What kind of baseless logic is that?
