I think its a common syndrome in many SME’s , bosses seem to have a towering power over employees which ultimatly gives rise to negative feelings in the workplace.
So , for what ever reason, be it them being overly bossy, difficult , etc do you dislike your boss? if yes , what do you think you will want to do in this situation:
1- Ignore your dislike for them and carry on working for the sake of your job.
2- Wait for them to be promoted so you can get a new manager
3- Start looking for another job.
4- complain as often as you get a chance to the manager’s manager
5- Become difficult to be managed !
6- other options.
I did most of them , unfortunately it doesn’t work…
1- Ignore your dislike for them and carry on working for the sake of your job. - Did it for 3 years
2- Wait for them to be promoted so you can get a new manager - Didn’t happen, even though manager got changed..the same opinion and attitude got passed on
3- Start looking for another job. - Doing it still
4- complain as often as you get a chance to the manager’s manager - We didn’t have any such meeting.
5- Become difficult to be managed - Did this, backfired some and got satisfaction for some
6- other options. yeyayyya!!
I hated my first boss to the core of my heart, I worked on a plan to get him fired and he got fired.
How was I able to achieve it? He was an idiot , thief and a bully. He was embezzling company's funds. I got the proofs and handed those proofs to his boss , it did not take much time for his boss to fire him.
Since his boss and him were childhood friends he did not go to jail and the money embezzled was not much to send him to jail for it.
I hate him to this day, since he was a bully. He underestimated me because I was fresh out of college with no real world experience. There were others working under him who hated him too and were scared to report his cheating I asked them for proof and assured them nothing bad is going to happen to them.
