I exempt Imran from this list because Imran mentioned somewhere that they have internal selection procedure built into their party's constitution and he is chairman from last 14 years because of that.
One more feather that I want to add into PTI and JI's cap is that these are the only two parties that have not divided into factions. That shows that their internal workings must be democratic so everyone is happy with the fair selection of executives and higher command.
Imran khan is actually in same boat as NS, MQM, PPP etc (ok a bit in back side). Every party has their "internal" election process to show off ...really.
As far as credit of not creating fractions is concerned, PTI really dont have any other leader or workers. Who will cerate the fraction?

I just wanted to give Imran a benefit of doubt cause as a nation, we hardly caught him lying. Plus another reason is because he is a one man party, its no wonder that his party leadership wants him to keep the chairmanship cause they know that without him, party wont exist.

I am really not the supporter for these but I guess same can be said about NS,PMLQ, PPP, MQM and almost about any other party.
anyways. I was just pointing that imran is not in the same league as JI as far as elections in the party is concerned.
The ANP is the most democratic of parties I think, even though they've had a dynasty of their own (Bacha khan, his son and grandson) they atleast hold elections and have had 1.5 non-dynasty party leaders.

Every time selection procedure of the leader is non-democratic, party divides into 2 or more factions because seniors who thought that they deserve the party chair feel neglected. That is what happened in almost every party that you mentioned.
However I agree that PTI cannot be equal to JI when it comes to internal democracy.

I agree, we should add ANP in that short list of real democratic parties.
