i see here that a LOT of people are trying too hard to be politically correct when they post…like (i am not trying to support xyz, i am not opposing, i am not being racists/sexist etc etc)…
why try so hard??
and also don’t you think that even if you say so…the rest of your message does reflect your views…why bother about political correctness??
I always speak openly and without anything held back... regardless of the consequences.
I may not always be in the right state of mind when I say things for example when frustrated I try to refrain from swearing etc, but you can tell in my posts that I am not in a happy mood,
Likewise when calm I still speak frankly, however political correctness as well as more importantly tact are required especially in debates... on issues that are sensitive one has to be politically correct and use tact, however I try to be as outward as possible and rarely mince my words even though I do choose them carefully... or at least most of the time.
Maybe there are some words and topics you just have to be PC about.
pathetic, uncivilized, illiterate, untidy, liars and cheats.
If you say so... you forgot to add... highly skilled, charming, fiendish, outlandish, bloodthirsty, egotistic, unforgiving and of terrible taste in fashion and music... Or at least for me that is almost about it :)
so dont try to be politically correct and please name those people, if not all ..at least few ....
So..i was thinking...

Being politically correct, having tact or being at least tasteful...is an asset/tool for people.
In my experience, when people start to become too blunt and just say whatever comes to their mind (regardless of consequences) they are not really setting themselves up for a discussion. They lose the right to expect decent answers from their opponent. They also disrupt communication.
Being politically correct depends upon your objective. If your goal is to simply throw your words out there and people can take them as they wish - you dont have to worry about anything. If your goal is to be understood - then you might want to use tact to address your audience in a way where they want to understand you.
Most of the time I am politically correct, but sometimes I am in this naturally high state, sort of ditsy and ecstatic, so I write and say whatever my intuition tells me. It's all good and all clean, it has nothing to do with immorality. Sometimes it does not align with people's intellect, so they criticize me. But I know in my heart that my thoughts are not the whispering of satan, because God is always in my thoughts and actions.
