Political and international Internships

  1. Democracy Matters - Democracy Matters- is non-partisan
organization that works with college students on the issue of
democratic reform in the United States, especially the role of private money in politics in the United States. Their aim is to deepen democracy by promoting reform and by mentoring the students who will become the next generation of political leaders.

Democracy Matters is offering paid internships for undergraduates to
work on their home campus. This is an opportunity for a student to
receive mentorship from national political leaders, to meet students
from other campuses, and to travel to national student summits on

Kudos Chalthai! Great to know that there are people getting involved in desi community. Since you mentioned NGOs in NYC, I was wondering what DRUM is all about? Any ideas?

RF yaar: I have been involved with them for over 5 yrs now. I know about DRUM, but I don't agree with their political advocay mantra. I think some people on this BB might be perfect for them. To me they have a chip on their shoulder and are subsequently virulently anti-establishment.
