Polish FM vows to hunt down killers of Stanczak

Another country joins the lineup in Pakistan … want the “terrror” suspects to be arrested … easier said then done … Pakistan has lost control of these areas (not that it bothers the Pakistan PM)

‘Now we can no longer save our compatriot, we are going to try to punish his killers,’ he added.

‘After consultation with the justice minister, we are issuing arrest warrants to arrest the men suspected of having committed this crime.’

Re: Polish FM vows to hunt down killers of Stanczak

^ They can still claim the video was not made in Pakistan :p

Our hearts go out for the slain engineer.

Truly sad that many of us will now come up with all kinds of justifications to support the murderous primitive tribals.

Islamist virus has gotten inside our nation's blood, and now attacking from within (like HIV).

And what's our answer to this terrible disease? Simple. Kill a virgin, take a shower, or simply blame it on the RAW. Then go back to committing the same acts that lead to the spread of Islamist virus to begin with.

Just like AIDS, our nation will be on long term treatment, and I am positive that one day we'll kill this virus and clean up our nation.

It will be tough, long, and hard slog, and May Allah help us.

Killing those who are helping to develop Pakistans infrastructure, the Taliban are a true cancer to Pakistan.

Pakistan needs to consolidate its power in NWFP.

Poland puts beheading blame on Pakistani gov’t

Even Poland has realized that elements within the Pak government are hand in glove with terrorists. Pak on its part is still using the old “we are also victims of terror” excuse.

DAWN.COM | World | Poland puts beheading blame on Pakistani gov?t

WARSAW: Poland promised Monday to issue international arrest warrants for Taliban militants after the apparent beheading of a Polish engineer in Pakistan, and officials charged that elements within the Pakistani government shared blame for the killing.
Pakistan’s top diplomat in Poland firmly rejected the accusation that some members of the Islamabad government are sympathetic to Islamic extremists, saying his country is snarled in a bitter fight with terrorist groups that is killing many of its own.

Without a body, Polish authorities were not able to officially confirm the death of Piotr Stanczak, but they said a seven-minute video purporting to show the 42-year-old’s slaying appeared authentic. Copies of the video were delivered to journalists in Pakistan on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski condemned the apparent killing as a ‘bestial execution’ and said the government would issue arrest warrants for the culprits.

"A crime was committed, so there has to be an investigation, a search for the culprits, and if possible putting them before the justice system and an exemplary punishment,’’ he said.

It was not immediately clear what impact the issuing of warrants might have, because Poland does not have an extradition treaty with Pakistan.

Justice Minister Andrzej Czuma said Polish intelligence has identified the kidnappers as members of a Taliban group. He said intelligence ‘has described the leadership of the group, their relatives, where they are located, their friends in Pakistani government structures.’
Czuma alleged that the extremists enjoy the favor of some officials in the Pakistani government. ‘A lot of people among Pakistan’s authorities sympathise with these bandits,’ he said on the all-news station TVN24.
Malik Farooq, the first secretary and charge d’affaires at Pakistan’s embassy in Warsaw, called Czuma’s comments surprising and unfair. He said Pakistan is doing everything in its power to combat terrorism.

‘Suicide attacks are being carried out against the security forces, and we have lost not only common citizens but our security forces in tribal areas,’ Farooq said. ‘Pakistan has been a great victim of terrorism and extremism.’

Stanczak was kidnapped close to the Afghan border Sept. 28 by armed men while he was surveying oil and gas fields for a Krakow-based geophysics company. The gunmen killed three Pakistanis traveling with the engineer.

Few Poles are working in Pakistan at the moment, according to the Foreign Ministry, but about 1,600 Polish soldiers are serving with the Nato mission in Afghanistan.

A spokesman for Taliban militants in northwestern Pakistan told The Associated Press that Stanczak was ‘slaughtered’ because the Pakistani government missed a deadline to release 26 prisoners. The Taliban had also demanded the government withdraw troops from Pakistan’s tribal areas.

Unless Pakistan army has stopped fighting militants or Pakistani govt is not supporting the operation how can you claim "our answer"?

In another thread you questioned a guppy whether he wants a positive approach or negative approach, so I'll ask you, why have negative approach?

Re: Polish FM vows to hunt down killers of Stanczak

Punjabee in USA, what do you want Pakistan to do?

They want all the armies from around the world to have a piece in Pakistan.

That is the standard defence whenever someone questions the motives of "some" people in Pakistani establishment (not limiting to army or ISI only). It is the usual ..... Pakistan is in danger because everyone wants the nuclear weapons ..... incidently it was the same noise that was made before Pakistan got the nuclear weapons .... the country is in danger of being overrun !!!!!

Just an example ... how come a "nuclear" Pakistan with its arsenal of "missiles" cannot get one FM radio to shut down !!!!!

Now Poland joins a list of countries who have an issue with the situation in Pakistan ..... and most of these countries (including India) know that a failed Pakistan is more dangerous then the present one ..... hence everyone is carefull in deadling with Pakistan .... but you cannot cry wolf all the time and it is about time Pakistan acts and acts not only for International community but for its own good !!!!!

Whether we want it or not, that will happen anyways if Pakistan continues to go down the way it currently is.

But to start off with, how about the Pakistani state (or elements within it) stop supporting terrorism and take action against terrorists & their sympathizers ?

This is just a small sample of what’s been going on in North Pakistan during the last one year and a half. Each link is reporting on average (my estimate) 20 taliban.

Re: Polish FM vows to hunt down killers of Stanczak

^ Killing Taliban foot soldiers is a great first step. Now how about taking action against their supporters and sympathisers in the Pak establishment ?

Isnt twisting nicks against forum rules ? :nono1:

Re: Polish FM vows to hunt down killers of Stanczak

It wasn't intended to be an insult nor I wanted to ridicule. It just seemed funny to me.

I apologise to aam bandha if it hurt him.

None taken ..... actually it was a bit funny ... never thought of it that way :)

I was also joking ;)

I am quoting someone else's comments about it who has put it more eloquently than I would (you can google to find out the context). The thing you are suggesting is much easier said than done in the land of corrupt politicians, complex social structures and cultural systems, historical animosities and emotional and indifferent public.

" It should be noted that long before the current violence in FATA the Pakistan army had lost more soldiers fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban than the US, NATO, and the Afghan army combined. Pakistan has huge problems including the problem of Taliban sympathizers within the ISI. However, to brand Pakistan as a state sponsor of terrorism not only devalues their contribution to whatever success we have had against Al Qaeda it also turns away the very elements in the Pakistan army and Pakistani society we need - the folks who risk their lives fighting against extremism. "

We seem to be on the same footing on this ..... as your report itself says ... there are elements "within" ISI which needs attention .... it just seems that the Pakistan government and even the army places itself infront of these elemenst whenever fingers are pointed ... so it is high time the Pakistan government and the army does some "spring cleaning" and removes these elements who it seems have no repsect for Pakistani lives as it is !!!!!

That's precisely the problem. Our army, our law enforcement agencies are spilling their blood to save our sacred motherland

  1. ALL BY themselves,
  2. without MASSIVE public support

some people may say that THEY brought it by themselves, but that's clearly a cop-out.

While our motherland's future is online, millions of Pakistanis are actively or passively supporting the taliban kuffar.

Hope you now understand what was meant by "our answer". Our answer through our media is in reality the mockery of our brave jawans. Our answer through forums like these is clear, that many Paksitanis have turned Islamists and they are with Talbian kuffar now (as opposed to being with Pak government or Pak army).

Thank you.
