So, I wouldn't be surprised keeping the callousness and depth of proven mischief the Europeans are capable of...Just look at the effects of Depleted Uranium alone...Cancer rate in Iraq has gone up and deformed and malformed births have gone up 800%...The earth and waters of Iraq have been poisoned for hundreds of thousands of years...That piece of earth will never again sprout a healthy grain of food...

That’s fine, but it’s not North Americans or Europeans coming to give the vaccine. The aid workers on the UN programme are overwhelmingly Pakistanis, Muslim Pakistanis at that too.
The vaccine has been tested in Pakistan, by Pakistanis and found to be safe, so Pakistanis are deciding to push the programme forward to the people.
If these people would rather listen to the local maulanas than the government of Pakistan, they should be left to let their children catch polio and be crippled. But not one rupee of Pakistani taxpayer money should be then spent to treat a child with polio in these areas, since the population clearly refused help to stop polio occuring in the first place.

Well and good...But the vaccine is not being manufactured in Pakistan, it's being given by WHO...And as far as anything falling under UN is concerned whether it's security council, world bank or anything...It all boils down to how the US wants it operated...

How long ago was that Mr. F? I do remember that in Benazir's second term (93-96) these rumours were rampant (the polio eradication campaign was one of her strongest points in the manifesto), and she actually took her own kids to get that vaccination and it was shown on the news. (i wont let you give credit to the nigerians that easily for our desi indegninous conspiracy theories bro)

Eradicating Polio from Pakistan has failed so far because of many different reasons, one being that the administrator fails to keep the drops at the proper temperature (they need to be kept cold) and due to this ignorance, the vaccine is spoiled and does not immunize the child.

^ I dont think thats true, the centers where they keep it have the cool boxes to keep them at the right temeperature, and they can be taken in a pack of ice to a certain distance.

Polio Rates among Indian Muslims is very high. It is for the same reason, when Indian medical official go door to door for vaccination, many Muslims dont allow their women and girls in family to get vaccinated . They fear they are infertility drugs

Polio among Indian Muslims
Indian Ministry officials say the meeting will review the implementation of the polio eradication strategy in India and discuss ways to reach out to the entire population.
Indian Officials are particularly alarmed by the large number of infections being reported from among the Muslim population.
A health ministry official told the BBC that 67% of the infections were among Muslims, while the remaining 33% have been reported from the Hindu community.
He said rumours that the polio vaccine is actually a form of birth control and part of a western conspiracy to reduce the Muslim birth rate have led to many families shunning it in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
The official said the health ministry has now roped in imams (priests) and community leaders to reach out to Muslims and assure them that the vaccine can save the lives of their children.
