Polio vaccination on return from pakistan

According to the rules any travellers who have stayed in Pakistan for more than 4 weeks need polio drops and certificate before leaving pakistan. While the system is straight forward for getting the drops, you just go to the govt hosp have the drops and get the certificate, no one bothers to check it on the airport. Given the crisis situation with record number of cases this seems a very lax attitude by the authorities. Also can anyone shed light on why it is 4 weeks cut off? Is there any medical reason for it?

Re: Polio vaccination on return from pakistan

Yes, it is true that all the visitors who stay in Pakistan for more than 4 months should take polio drops and need a certificate before leaving Pakistan as many national and international NGOs in Pakistan striving hard to eliminate polio from Pakistan.

Yes I also got that certificate for my kids and no one asked me for it
