Policy Options in Iraq

Iraq may go down as one the most ill advice military adventures of United States of America, where they not only lost their men and women, had over hundred and thousands of innocent causalities but also lost their credibility as a super power.

America might remain the super power with its military might, trade and political influence in the world but it seems like after Iraq, the world will more like a bi or multi-polar superpower where there is more than one voice making decisions.

Before that happens, as United States government is coming into a realization of Iraq war, what are the policy options left?
**
1.** Stay the course, which defiantly is not working and making the situation more badly.

2. Troop increase, whether this helps or not is another question as it will certainly not take the label invaders away. They will still remain the targets. Moreover, the political stability and legitimacy of government is hard to find with troop increase. How can Iraqi government convince and recruit people in police and army to fight for them?

3. Leave, this option might seem the best right now but the aftermath is less likely to like one of Vietnam where people suggested “Cry Wolf”, in the end there was not. I think if United States leaves Iraq, it will be divided, unstable and pockets of Al-Qaeda will have their cells and U.S or some other country will have to fight this war all over again.
