With due respect to all new members,I would like to tell one thing about the forum policies.
Do not start more than one thread in a day.It is because of that the readers of this forum have to read poetry in alternative days.So if you start more than one thread in a day means that they have to go on the last page to read the sharings of their favourite poetry senders.If you do then everyone starts more than one thread so your thread also go to the second page which is not often viewed daily by the members and guests. And they do not read your sharings because of flooding.I am saying the truth and it is not to discourage you but to give you a sence of posting here in Intikhaab.Thanks.

I think its better to merge threads than restricting people to one thread only.
In fact, in my opinion, I like threads nice and tiddy. Two poems in one thread is injustice to both becuuse individual identities suffer and readers' attention diverts. Anyway, let us see what others have to say about it. Discussion starts now ... :)

i think its gud 2 restrict only one thread a day because after all day's work we only browse site once and its hard to consuntrate on tooo many thread in short time

Too bad for HullaGulla jiske paas hazaar nazmon ka khazana hai. Ek dhage main ek hi nazm achchi lagti hai.
Catch is always in the first line...i.e. its attractiveness will determine whether you will read the poem or not :)

That is what that NikamiJano says to me when i am starting more than one threads in a day and there she also said that she merdge more than one threads of other people due to the above reasons.

and plzzz can any mod maintain the policy that the poetry which is filmi and already very famous is not to post in sep. threads because we already know that poetry and don want to read again and again. like some members are cont. posting viery famous and filmi poetry they can post it in one sticky thread.

I agree that too many threads spoil the fun and also threads quickly disappear onto the second page. My suggestions:
- No more than three threads by anyone person in a day.
- If a person has a huge collection he/she wants to share, he/she can contact the mods and they upon their discretion can make a sticky for him/her in which he can posts all his poetry. But to do that he/she must have a huge collection which they want to share and the mods must agree with to it. This should be an exception rather than the norm.
These are suggestions the final decision will rest with the mods.

these are some good suggestions. I remember requesting the members to post along these lines sometime back. Hopefully with Amal and Nikami around, I am sure these will be implemented.

Good suggestion ehsan g lakin aik baat se me ap ki agree kam kam karti k agar poetry main 20 members hain sab k pass 1000 aur more hai agar every one ask 4 sticky tu kia ye becharey mods k leay mumkin ho gha k wo 20 stickys bana dalian..poor Nikami and Amal:(

relax... even I have not posted everything in last 7 years... post at the most two threads and do not post anything untill your threads disappear to second page...

Having a collection in one sticky is a bad idea only in my humble opinion...
Not everything is read by people even those who have good taste in poetry and those who strive for reading good poetry... -- Online Fact - came to this term being a mod couple of years back in a forum much more urdu savvy and where even professional poets used to come... and the writters :)
A poem per thread has a title that tells people what's in there... Just a sticky with titles like "HallaGulla Baig's collection" will get annoying and unattracted after a while.
Normally people only come and say "wah wah" "bahut Khoob" ... etc. and a sticky will end up having multiple wah wah's from similar users :D
Mods should encourage people who have good taste in poetry (such as themselves, self excluded:p) to actually come up with synopsis, context, background or even their own understanding of the piece of poetry being posted... a discussion on a poetry can make this place very lively... :) just like how urdu classes used to be fun when teachers used to explain and ask things regarding a sher ... back in pakistan (for those who have experienced this) ... This forum has a potential of becoming a very good source of spreading knowledge than merely collecting praises..... monotonous to say the least....
