Not a good sign. It is hoped that these killers will apprehended asap. If agencies/mqm are involved as usual they will not be caught (na maaloom afraad), may result in beginning of an end.

KARACHI: At least five people including a policeman and two activists of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) were gunned down in different incidents of violence in the port city on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire on Taufiq Ali Hoti, former president PTI district South and Arif near Karachi Zoo in Garden neighbourhood, killing both of them on the spot. Hoti was a resident of Ranchor Line area.

In two separate incidents, a police official, identified as Sajjad was killed by sporadic firing by unknown assailants in Orangi Town’s Kati Pahari area, while dead bodies of two people including a woman were found from Model Colony and Steel Town areas of the city.

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Imran Khan strongly condemned the killing of two party workers in Karachi.

In a statement issued in Islamabad, he lashed out at Sindh government and security forces for failing to curb violence and targeted killing in the port city.

“The Sindh government and security forces have failed in restoring peace and bringing terrorist elements to book in Karachi,” said Imran Khan.

Moreover, PTI workers gathered at Tibet Centre to protest against the killing. The protesters staged a sit-in, blocking main M A Jinnah Road.
