very late but step in right direction, atleast it will increase the level of education while on job and illeterate police eventually get good training and education level as well. untill now a joiner stay at FA level throughout his career without progression in education level. hence the un professional and naliak police.

Police Training College, Sihala affiliated with Punjab University
Police Training College, Sihala has been affiliated with Punjab University and the classes of B.Sc. Criminal Studies would be started during the current year.
This was disclosed at a high level meeting chaired by the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Ahmad Nasim, Additional IG Punjab Dr. Syed Azhar Hassan Nadeem, Additional IG (R&D) Sh. Israr Ahmed, Additional IG (Training) Fayyaz Ahmad Mir, Commandant Police Training College, Sihala, Additional IG Abdul Majeed, Additional IG (Finance) Aftab Sultan and other senior officers were also present. The meeting was told that approval has been granted by the Punjab University to affiliate Police Training College, Sihala and the classes of B.Sc. Criminal Studies will be started in December this year.
The first educational session of B. Sc. Criminal Studies will be 2007-2008. The syllabus for B.Sc. Criminal Studies will be as follow: -
