Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
Apparently Musharaf has just said he will take ALL ACTIONS by tonight?
What does he mean? It would be interesting to see.
emergency would be inposed?
martial law?
he resigns?
mass roundups of instigators?
who knows.

Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
certainly another sad day for Pakistan,
Musharraf has apologized.....
problem is, who's in charge? Seems Mush may be facing a internal revolt of sorts, or this chaos is beinh engineered deliberatly for some other reason, dont know but very disappointed with the entire proceedings.

That's it, I'm moving. Oh nevermind, I've already moved.
Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
yeah right, moved to a country where you shave twice a day due to the fear that an over grown stubble doesnt give someone the impression of a beard. ![]()
all you bhagoras are so quick at trashing Pakistan the moment something happens.

hahahah
Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
hey man most of the trashing has been and is being done by Pakistanis in pakistan. look at our papers, look at ppl in the streets, when something happens burning this or that.
Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
If someone is backstabbing Mush on this one, then I really feel sorry for him. As much as I have started disliking him since he pulled CJ into a corner, I don't wish to see him leave abruptly resulting in anarchy.
I personally believe that the best course of action for the country right now is for Musharraf to take off his Uniform in Dec and hold free elections. He can stay for the next term as Pres in civilian clothes and then leave the scene.

This is great and dandy but what about the goons who mishandled the CJP. Why does he not punish those idiots?

Manhandling of CJP ‘unfortunate’, says Musharraf
ISLAMABAD: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has said the “manhandling” of suspended Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry by security personnel and police was an “unfortunate incident”.
The president said this at a meeting on Wednesday night at which all aspects of the judicial crisis following the chief justice’s suspension were reviewed, a federal minister told Online on condition of anonymity on Thursday.
The president expressed disappointment at the manhandling of the chief justice while he was being taken to the Supreme Court building on Tuesday, the sources said. He said the incident had bought shame to Pakistan and that Justice Chaudhry must be treated with respect and honour, as he is still chief justice of Pakistan. He added that he had not issued any directives to withdraw the chief justice’s privileges. He said there was no ban on meeting the chief justice, but no one would be allowed to gain political mileage from the.
Gen Musharraf said that he took the decision to file a reference against the chief justice on the advice of the prime minister and now it was up to the Supreme Judicial Council to decide the case. The government would not interfere in this matter, he said, according to the sources.
Federal ministers, constitutional experts and heads of national security agencies attended the meeting, the sources said. online

HELLOO......IS THAT IT???
Its not just unfortunate, its very very very sad too. The least Musharraf could do was to condemn it. That he did not tells me he might well have issued the orders to mishandle the CJ himself...you know the old Army mentality...ab mazaa chakhaoon ga isay.
Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
Musharraf has apologized in live on air discussion. I wonder how many "Political Leaders" have courage to do so? Nawaz and BB has yet to apologize for the things they did in their terms having said t that, whatever happed was wrong and should be condemned in totality. Musharraf should get rid of Jahils like Wasi Zafar, Durrani etc ASAP else they will drown him and join the next party in power.
Also I hope they don't take any action against the ordinary constables but against the TOP RANKING police officers and govt person who ordered the raid. Constables were just following the orders.

Plenty of politcians 'apologise' when they realise the action they take is hurting them, rather than helping them.
The fact that he was behind the action to begin with is far more telling
Re: Police ransacks Geo Office
^ Then "I may have missed" the apology from Nawaz to JANG (when he went after the news paper with full govt machinery) and from Nawz to ppl of Pakistan (for attacking supreme court) and from BB to Pakistani ppl for getting into power after making a deal with Army in 1988 and from BB to Pakistani and so on .....

in teh same program, hamid mir said that even nawaz sharif apologized when he was n power and hamid mir was mistreated by the police. politicans do that, whenever they are in a corner like musharraf is now. no need of hyping this apology..
