There are so many ashaars on net, which have been spread by saying that they relate to some legendary poet. The most affected poets include Ghalib, Iqbal and Faraz.

khair, other than that serious poetry bhi to Ghalib ke naam se aati hai.

sometimes, what happens is that some low level sho'araa~ acquire a pen-name same as Ghalib, Iqbal and other ustaads and then they float their cheap shaa'irii on the net. those who don't know those legendary poet's work spread it along further and some idiot designs them and lo and behold the ball gets rolling and gets bigger N bigger till it becomes a nuisance.
i think Urdu Academies or Urdu Anjumans should copy-right these Ustaad sho'araas pen-names so they can not be used by cheapos. there must be something done about this menace.
