**Maazi maiN meray pyar ke jo phool khilay thay
har phool ke kaaNtoN se, kayi zakhm milay thay

Dunya ko batata maiN sitam yaar ke kaisay ?
chaha tha ussay dil se, meray lab tau silay thay

nafrat ke bhi qaabil nahiN samjha humaiN jis ne
chahat maiN hum, us shakhs ke, marnay ko chalay thay

har zulm pe uske, meri aahaiN theeN nikalteeN
har aah se laakhoN meray armaan juRay thay

Chaha agar ik pal ko bhi hota, mujhay uss ne
uske hi thay, jeewan ke meray din jo bachay thay

ro kar maiN karoN yaad Sabih, ya ke haNsoN maiN?
ik khwab ki bus aas maiN, wo din jo katay thay.**
