pms & pmdd

What Islam has to say about these conditions of women and things they do during such period? we all know women face depression, panci attacks, mood swings, anger, aggression, getting out of control etc etc and doing things which you wont if in normal state . whats the ruling if things get uncontrollable during such period? and that happens every month. This is obviously something out of your control but what Islam say about all this...

PMS symptoms can be alleviated through diet, exercise, and even meds. So it's not a totally hopeless dilemma. Doing continuous zikr also provides qalbi sukoon. When your tongue and heart are immersed in zikr, you would be less inclined to use your zubaan to lash out at someone. I don't think it's required to have an ayat or hadith specifically about PMS because we have plenty of ayats and hadith that provide guidance for what to do when we are feeling angry or depressed.

There was a woman who was so grieved by the death of her husband that she lashed out at the Prophet (PBUH). When she later sought his forgiveness, he (PBUH) counseled her that patience should be in the first response or reaction. Losing a loved one is a permanent and irreplaceable loss. A loss that is felt deeply and is worse than PMS which can be described as a nuissance at best. But even when we face the trial of death, which is perhaps the most difficult trial, we are told to be patient. And PMS is only a small burden to bear on the spectrum of tribulations compared to many other things.

The woman who lashed out at the Prophet in her state of mourning her husband's death went on to marry the Prophet (PBUH). Allah must have forgiven her to bless her with an even better match. From this maybe we can learn that we have to try our best to control our anger, but also trust that His mercy overcomes His wrath.

So long as women do not lackadaisacally use their PMS to justify all manner of poor behavior and try to manage their symptoms and control their anger. Allah knows everyone's heart. He knows who is trying their best to keep a lid on their anger and who is using pms as an excuse to spout off whenever they want.

All that any of us, men and women, can do is to keep trying and praying for forgiveness abd improvement. Even if there were 100 Islamic references about PMS, in the end it all comes down to persistence and prayer.

I don't know what islam says about it, but I think it may be treated like any other affliction. If you are patient , you are rewarded and if you give in to it, you are accountable.
I think it's better to maintain as little human contact as possible during those days if your episodes are bad. Mine wasn't as bad as it has been the last couple of months so I've decided to try this approach. This way you save face as well as not hurt others.

The only thing that separates humans from primates is emotional control, hundreds of women are also in the work force and are not given a free pass to treat clients or coworkers poorly. Islam encourages, look at Sufism both males and females to have great emotional control. Look at Sufism.

Perhaps that is why it's sinful to divorce a woman during those days. I think some women have far worse mood swings than others that even other women have a hard time understanding it.

Question should not be about the women. It should be about the men who bardasht karing these women.

Holy pleads there gotto be a very high level of Jannah for these men. That too reach directly in there without hisab kitab.

how many female sufi saints habe u seen in the Islamic history? there are few but not as many as males…

I don’t hang out with female Sufis, however most of my colleagues are females and in my really long career most of them seem to be happy, pleasant courteous most of the time at work and not ripping heads off once a month.

Not sure if Sunnah or Quran

But I remember that if body is inflicted with pain , it's to remove the sins in this dunya

In the sense compared with the hereafter

But then he made the women as the carrier of the life too

So his wisdom is there which I don't know what is it
