PML-N may take back its polls boycott decision

Updated at Saturday, December 01, 2007 2320 PST

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) is seriously pondering over reversing its announcement to boycott the upcoming general elections, the party source said here on Saturday. The party is under severe internal pressure following its announcement to boycott the polls because PPP and JUI are against the boycott. PML-N President, Shahbaz Sharif said his party workers are pressing him to take back the decision of elections boycott, arguing that this act could damage party’s position.

Meanwhile, PML-N is presently engaged in internal elections and the party’s central and parliamentary boards are carrying out process of interviews of candidates for the purpose. PML-N has also started the preparation of the party’s election manifesto while suggestions are being invited from its subsidiary organizations.

The PML N and the Sharif family will be history if they boycott the polls, and they know it.

well if they boycot it im happy, cos there party will be all over and finished,
imrans drama TEI is 100% over and finished now that he has boycotted the election, his career will also be over unless he join another party now.

Re: PML (Nawaz) may take back its polls boycott decision

nawaz sharif was bought back to get americans to ease pressure they were putting on to give bb an advantage on the elections. by bringing nawaz back, musharraf has caused americans to back off because americans dont like nawaz who being a dolt does not realise that he is being set up. if he does not play ball, he is going back to saudi arabia. and i wont be surprised if nawaz sharif shoots himself on the foot. remember even after 2/3rd majority and with ppp defeated, he still ended up in jail. his position is much weaker now but that does not stop nawaz sharif from suffering delusions of grandeur.

**let me predict future of Pakistan politics in Punjab Province.

– If PML-N boycott the election they will be history.
– If Imran is man of word and he will boycott then he will be history too.

God bless President Musharraf for unprecedented economic growth, freedom of media & fulfilling his promises. :jhanda: **

  1. told ya, if they boycott, u would see defections. this ‘severe internal pressure’ woudl turn into mass exodus from party ranks. and this whole yipyap about "damage party position’ is code for saying hey if we are not MNA MPA senator etc, then how will we do the ayyashi we are used to or were hoping for

  2. elections eh? u think that would lead to new leadership for PML(N)? :halo:

Re: PML (Nawaz) may take back its polls boycott decision

Badsha Salaamat! It is always good that NS BB PM and even Immi all work together for a stable Pakistan.

Ours is a HUGE country of 160 million people. It is not good to use street tamashah and petty politics considering our size. It doesn't help us if our ruling elite are at each others throats.

It is really pathetic to see our leaders being exiled to Saudi, or UK, or US. No matter how bad they are, they belong to us, to our country. If they commit crime against us, they should be locked up in our jails. If they should be under arrest, they should be under arrest of our law enforcement agencies.

NS had many faults, but he is the least ethnophobic person in our leadership. BB, Immi, and AH's patriotism is only skin deep.

NS so far has been among the few leaders who launched national infrastructure development. His is among few political families who truly have done public service in the form of Ittifaq hospital much more and for much longer period compared to any other politiko. Remember Ittifaq hospital was established long before NS got involved in politics.

Had he been more diplomatic with the army, he could have ruled Pakistan for many years.

Unfortunately our leaders can't behave diplomatically amongst each other. That's the only reason why Saudi, or Americans, or UK has to step in to step these childish leaders from killing each other.

Peace and love to all.

PML-N to reverse boycott decision

Re: PML (Nawaz) may take back its polls boycott decision

Let me learn a trick or two from PML(N) such as “how to reserve the decision after announcing it 3-4 days ago”

:hehe: Poor Nawaz you have to feel sorry for him. Pathetic welcome home by his partymen, who are busy fighting or shooting at each other, and now he is stuck with a dilema as to whether boycott or not.
