Re: PML-N Jalsa in Larkana
Just because you don't like or support certain party, does that make it ANTI-PAKISTAN? Which actions of PPP can be called Anti-Pakistan?
1) They supported Swat Operation and provided all the political will and support, which actually made the operation successful despite the stance of some self-proclaimed NIjat-da-hinda who was in favor to have a dialogue with the fazullah... yes that Fazulullah was Anti-Pakistan
2) They have called for the unity of the Pakistan after the death of Benazir when even the mighty army of Pakistan didn't knew what to do and how to do? Is that is why they called anti-Pakistan
3) Or now when they have again fully supported the army and have cut all the connections with the US over the attack on Pakistani post??? is this anti-Pakistan stance...
yes PPP govt had its short-coming, they failed in rebuilding economy and managing things in right way, yes they have promoted corruption and at best it can be called incompetency but nothing close to anti-Pakistan....
December 17 is few days away, the the black day in the history of Pakistan and this day didn't came just because of corruption or other things, it mainly came because 40 years back, we use to call everyone a traitor and anti-Pakistan... and we forced everyone to become one... haven't we learned anything from that event???
Well said, and I agree with every thing you mentioned in your post. Although I don't subscribe to the politics of peoples party but still I consider it to be a patriotic party. We all have different ways of looking at the same thing, during this tenure the government has had some wins (18th amendment, NFC award and a host of other amendments), but on the accounts of economy, corruption, energy etc they have failed.
In the past some people used to consider MQM, and ANP to be anti Pakistan parties now they're considered patriotic. No one gives any one the mandate to declare others anti Pakistan. One good thing during the recent times is that the habit of declaring each other unpatriotic has ended in the mainstream political parties. Even if we consider this memogate thing to be authentic, some people will consider that to be an anti Pakistan etc, and the others can say that the army itself was communicating with the Americans (peoples party just tried to use that link for strengthening democracy/averting danger to democracy). Parties should compete each other through policies and not through blame game alone.
We should even talk even to the people who 'are anti Pakistan (Violence begets violence). There has been a lot of bloodshed, now the people are really fed up and need respite from that. The blame game and labelling opposing parties as unpatriotic only increases the distances and polarization, which is a recipe for disaster. We need unity to survive and develop in the comity of nations.
