PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

They are doing most of their work through their poppet media as they did for Zardri in 2013 using Taliban also .

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

I dont see PTI winning any more from Punjab and with the lousy performance of Imran Khan in KPK and development work in Hazara and Dera Ismail Khan region i see PMLN winning from KPK.. currently PMLN stands as 2nd largest party in KPK...

As for Sindh, the Green Metro and Motorways project mag win PMLN few brownies but they wont be able to win it from here...

The way Balochistan have been transformed, i see another tenure of PMLN there, unless ofcourse thet dont commit any blunder there...

PTI is only strong in the world of Dr Danish, shahid Masood etc...

The reason they brought in Tahir us padri ul fasadi is to have some audience..otherwise the last Rally of PTI on the Mall Road Lahore do tell the real story..

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Only this time Aitzaz Ahsan and Bilwalal Bhutto joined them

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Metro n motorway are useless project in the context of wat the real need of khi.
Mass transit plan is on paper from way back 80s . Completion of k4 project is need of the hour for ppl of khi.
Ppl of khi who were buying water tankers for drinking are now buying water pickups .
Federal govt is not paying anything for such projects.. under current situation they will spend only in punjab to keep themself strong so even army cannot dismiss them by their boot.
Current situation is not good for army as there is no alternative of pmln at federal level. As earlier they were playing with both parties... current situation is not good for country as well as it will increase more unrest among small provinces.
As for being second largest in baluchistan is only on paper. This vote is not based on pmln ideology or performance in baluchistan. The very next day most of the sardars move to some other party n pmln will have a thenga in baluchistan.

One can say that NS playing punjab card cleverly but how long is difficult to say. It will be very difficult for Marium nawaz to manage various bradris with pmln . That will be the time there will emerge another muslim league with support of the Grand master. We r seeing this game for long...

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

^^^ i said 2nd largest in kpk and not in Balochistan...they are in power in Balochistan and have done better job then what Raissani of PPP did...

As for people of Sindh and Karachi, as long as they are going to vote in PPP and MQM in PA, this what they are going to get...even if PMLN govt wants, they cant do much since after the amendments it is more of Provincial Domain rather Federal.

Now if Govt in Punjab is delivering ( much more need to be done) and govt of Sindh is not, and both are from same party (pml
n)then you can blame PMLN, otherwise how come failure of MQM and PPP should be regarded as failure of PMLN...they have little or no say in Sindh affairs and little bit meddling they tried in for security, infrastructure dev...Aitzaz Ahsen and Bilawal are paying them dearly on that...

So yeah if People os Sindh want something good...they need to bring someone else...otherwise even after 100 years problems will remain as they are
,

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Bilawal is an opposition , when we support PML N anyway , we try to save democracy from greedy , hungry wolfs knew nothing without killing and destroying , Otherwise .........
N$ time is over , if he want to do something for himself , he should make his party a political party .

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

You are contradicting yourself...

You are saying Imran Khan is agent of establishment and he is there to weaken the govt...and all this drama was done during Zardari time...

Now when i pointed out ..this tims Bilawal is standing with IK and Shk Rasheed...you are saying he is going there because he is opposition!!!

Is the role of opposition to weaken the govt????

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

2018 is near and there will be no free Dharna like past , PPP has to take its position , Wait for the time .
No threat to democracy when PPP and Bilawal are there .

Little fun

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

BahahahahahahahahA

Btw dono main say PTI kon c thee aur PPP kon?

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

N who this some one else is. ...
It is not a matter of performance. .... everyone know how mustafa kamal performed. N before that farooq sattar did as mayor khi... this is problem of khi ppl. MQM need to go with sitting govt to beg for the share for khi development. Do u feel they are getting fair share for development. on population basis...

Until they don't chose pmln they will not get their right. Is this correct. That's y they try to go with every party in federal govt. But no avail. Wat Wil happen now when they r in opposition

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Not N...

N cannot simply win from Sindh, one they dont have representation 2ndly Sindh wont be voting for a Punjabi...few seats here and there and relativily better representation is what they can hope for... this is ground reality...

On the other hand N from the Center and Punjab should do as much as possible...

This myth that MQM sits in govt in the center and in Sindh to get fair share for the people of Karachi have been busted....

MqM was in the center from 2002-08 and later in and out from 2008-13... what they did to solve water problem? What they did to solve transportation issue? And many other things...they simply did nothing...and please pardon my language when i say, it is BS that MQM eveb tries to solve any of the problem...

Reason is, back then Altaf Hussain use to black mail musharaf and zardari fot petty issues but never ever tried to differ with them on real issues...and law and order we saw that how good they were from 2002-13...

So yeah MQM is not the answer and if with the performance of PPP.. they are not answer either...then you have got two choices...development projects or what you have got now.. but since N are planet mars or other country...mqm or ppp is only choice...

And tell you what, if you look up the development of Punjab and take out Sharif brothers out of it...specially shahbaz sharif then Lahore would have haf same problens if not then what Sindh is facing today...so pray that you get someone like him...Mustafa Kamal is an option but he seems to have sold his soul...even then if he can do something good...then nothing like that...

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Taliban factor is new but MQM has been dictating law and order situation of karachi for more than 2 decades. Everybody knows that if there is peace in karachi, it will boost economy of Pakistan and Karachi will get most out of it. "outsiders" who came to get jobs here will also benefit but major share will still belong to karachites.
Look at punjab... northern punjab, no punjabi speaking there but no violence, southern punjab, no conflicts with Saraikis. Travel few kms south from faisalabd you will start seeing Saraiki texture. Gujranwala division belongs to Kashmiris, few kms from Lahore. Yes punjab is still beautiful land. And if punjab is in fed it is unjust to say punjabis are deciding the fate of Pakistan.

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

MQM were allowed to work only 88 - 90 than 2002 till 2007 . PPL of Khi knows very well what they can do if given fair share.
All other times they keep trying to get something whie being with govt. This is the point that even being with Govt. they canot get fair share for KHI what is expected when in opposition.
It is their biggest mistake to hang on with govt while getting nothing. And I agree to the point that they should have used their power of controlling Khi to get their share. But I think if they did so , they wud have had much more phenti from powerfuls..

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Allah na kare asa ho

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

Lets hope for the best, let us hope that Mustafa Kamal, an undisputed performer for Karachi, for the sake of country men and country will do something good...

Alteast they can call for strike on geniune issues other than egoistic issues...

Re: PML-N is winning Elections 2018

true . lets hope for the best for the city and country..

Inflation hit 13-year low in FY16

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s average inflation came in at 2.86 per cent in the just-ended fiscal year, its lowest level in over 13 years, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.

Falling oil and commodity prices, a stable rupee and monitoring of prices at both federal and provincial levels were major reasons behind low inflation.

Average inflation stood at 4.53pc in 2014-15, 8.62pc in 2013-14 and 7.36pc in 2012-13.

Inflation measured through the consumer price index (CPI) — the indicator that tracks prices of 481 commodities every month in the country’s urban centres — inched up to 3.19pc in June from 3.17pc in May.

A finance ministry report said prudent fiscal and monetary policies and a few other factors helped in moderating the headline inflation and other inflationary indicators, ie core inflation, food inflation, sensitive price indicator (SPI) and wholesale price index (WPI).

It said the government had also passed on the benefits of lower oil prices to domestic consumers, which helped stabilise prices of commodities included in the CPI basket.

Food inflation, which has 37pc weight in CPI basket, was 2.3pc in June as compared to 3.2pc in the same month of the last year.

This decline in food inflation was the outcome of a 1.82pc fall in prices of perishable food items.

On a month-on-month basis, food inflation rose 1.4pc in June, mainly because of a 7.87pc increase in prices of perishable products and 0.19pc in non-perishable products.

The food items whose prices increased included tomatoes (61pc), potatoes (45.5pc), eggs (8.5pc), fresh vegetables (5.9pc), gram whole (5.7pc), fresh fruits (2.5pc), besan (2.4pc), pulse gram (2.2pc), and rice (1.4pc).

Core inflation, measured by excluding volatile food and energy prices, was recorded at 4.6pc in June 2016, slightly up 0.1pc from the previous month. Falling inflation has also encouraged the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to lower its key interest rate at a 42-year low of 5.75pc.

Core inflation has remained subdued since November last year because of a tighter monetary policy and reduction in food and fuel prices.

The finance ministry report said a 6.26pc decline in government sector borrowing during July-March 2015-16 has resulted in low core inflation. The retirement of Rs534.6 billion by the government to the SBP during the period under review also helped in lowering core inflation.

The non-food inflation was 3.8pc during the period under review as compared to 3.9pc in the previous month.

Among the non-food group, education index increased by 0.18pc and health by 0.13pc in June as compared to the previous month. The highest increase of 4.24pc was witnessed in the index of alcoholic beverages and tobacco.

Average inflation measured through the SPI rose 1.31pc in July-June 2015-16, while WPI was negative 1.05pc.
Lower WPI reflects less demand for domestic commodities, mainly because of low purchasing power. The entrance of the manufacturing sector into a negative growth indicates deflation in the economy.

2015-16 fiscal review: FBR nails down Rs 3.1 Trillion Tax Target

ISLAMABAD:

The federal finance minister announced a victory on the fronts of achieving the highest-ever tax collection target and increasing the foreign currency reserves to historic $23 billion.

**
“The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved its Rs 3.104 trillion tax collection target and foreign currency reserves also crossed the $23 billion threshold as of June 30,” **announced Ishaq Dar in a brief speech aired by the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).

**In June 2013, Pakistan’s total reserves stood at $6.8 billion while $23 billion is the highest-ever in the country’s history. **

**The tax collection of Rs 3.1 trillion rupees represents 60% increase in the past three years, representing an average increase of 20% per annum. In comparison, the average increase between 2008 and 2013 was 3%.
**
However, the government missed the income tax collection target by a wide margin and the annual target of Rs 3.1 trillion was achieved on the back of massive increase in indirect tax collection that even surpassed the targets.

As much as 61% of the total collection came from indirect taxes, excluding revenues generated by collecting withholding taxes. After including withholding taxes, the indirect taxation comes to about 85% of the total collection.

http://i1.tribune.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/3-2.jpg

Usually the withholding taxes are treated as income tax but due to unpaid refunds and people’s decision to stay away from the tax net these withholding taxes turned out to be indirect taxes.

This is the first time the FBR has achieved its revenue collection target without downward revision, claimed Dar. He took credit for increasing tax collection from Rs 1.95 trillion in 2013 to Rs 3.1 trillion by 2016.

He said the increase in collection would also result in transfer of Rs1.9 trillion to the provinces as their shares in the federal divisible pool under the 7th National Finance Commission Award.
**

How did it happen?**

Despite achieving the overall target, the FBR missed its income tax collection target by more than Rs 140 billion.

Against the target of Rs1.347 trillion, the FBR’s gross income tax collection stood at Rs1.212 trillion, including the refunds. After excluding the refund payments, the gap between target and collection would widen further.

Unlike the income tax, the FBR surpassed its Rs1.250 trillion sales tax collection target. The gross sales tax collection stood at Rs1.356 trillion – higher by Rs106 billion as a result of massive increase in sales tax rates on petroleum products and introduction of a mini-budget in December last year.

Similarly, the gross collection under the head of Customs duties stood at Rs401 billion – Rs102 billion more than the target. In December, the government introduced a special 1% Customs duty on thousands of imported items besides imposing regulatory duties on about 387 additional items.

The government also blocked payment of over Rs250 billion genuine refunds of the taxpayers.
A recent report of the Federal Tax Ombudsman office also accused the finance minister of blocking the taxpayers’ refunds. However, the FBR denies the finance minister has any role in it.
**

Currency reserves**

Of the foreign currency reserves of $23 billion, the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan amount to $18 billion. This week alone, Pakistan received $1.3 billion in loans from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

The central bank’s gross official reserves of $18 billion include about $11 billion in borrowings from various sources. To boot, Saudi Arabia gave a gift of $1.5 billion while China deposited $1 billion with the State Bank to help Pakistan bolster its reserves.
