It will be great to see if two provincial govt try to out do each other in term of development. Good for pakistan. Hope other two provinces follow . Khaja asif said write ly that we know if we give electricity then only will get vote in next election.
BTW I cannot understand how first commercial flight to skardu…
I my self travelled to skardu by pia in 2002.3

I am sharing work in progress pics on** Western route of CPEC.** Construction of road in the area is a challenging task but FWO is doing it with great sense of mission. Some friends have commented that why this road is not a six lane motorway. First of all let me clarify that there is no new six lane motorway project under construction for CPEC. CPEC plan is to improve/ upgrade existing highways for fastest connectivity. Peshawar-Lahore-Karachi motorway project is not a new project. It was started in 1990 by NS govt and was supposed to be completed by 2000. Unfortunately, due to political discontinuities it lingered on. Now it is being completed with BOT private sector financing on the basis of the traffic and cargo volume. If govt has to do a Karachi- Lahore section of motorway from its own resources it doesn’t have that much space yet and can’t afford it. Likewise, in future when traffic volume will grow, western route will also be dualized. When there are limited resources, infrastructure is build incrementally. This road is bringing revolution by providing remotest areas connectivity which enemies of development don’t want to happen. Inside China, there is also a similar two lane road from Khunjrab to Kashghar.

1000 bed children hospital with state-of-the-art centrally air conditioned Emergency & OPD blocks, the Mega Project is established on special directive of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.*

Established with a total cost of Rs. 5 billion, in Stage-2, the hospital will get status of Faisalabad Institute of Child Health which will serve as state-of-the-art postgraduate teaching and training center for specialist doctors and paramedical staff to treat all kinds of diseases of children (newborn to 14 years).*

3 crore population of 9 districts including Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Layyah, and Bhakkar will benefit from this facility.CM Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the hospital on 14th August, 2015*
