PML-N 50 MPAs short of simple majority.

Why did dozens of PML (N) MPA’s stay away and not vote for their party leaders in the Punjab Assembly? Have they already started abandoning the PML (N) and started looking forward to joining the PPP or PML Q?

PML-N 50 MPAs short of simple majority

Members of the Punjab Assembly belonging to the PML-N called a session of the Punjab Assembly in an apparent show-of-strength move after the proclamation of governor’s rule late on Wednesday, but were 50 members short of a simple majority. There were 136 members in the House. The PML-N members passed a resolution protesting against the Supreme Court verdict declaring their leaders Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif ineligible to be parliamentarians.

Aalsi my friend their is a reason that Governor Salman Taseer is famous as "Joor Tour ka Badshah"... in political circles !

Re: PML-N 50 MPAs short of simple majority.

those MPA's loyalties like those of politicians in other political parties are mostly to themselves, party comes second, and awaam comes at the bottom of the list after special interest groups, other entities etc etc

Re: PML-N 50 MPAs short of simple majority.

Here is what matters to the people.

Roti back to Rs. 4 a day after Shahbaz left. Jiye Zardari, Jiye Musharraf.

You got it wrong mate, undisputed shehenshah of joor-toor is NS. Others are far -distant 2nd.

Looks like you forgot the "joor toor" of 80s and 90s by Nawaz. He will beat Salman Taseer and Zardari hands down any day!

80s?

And I dont think the PML needed any jor tors, especially in 1996 when they got more than 2/3s of majority. PPP on the other hand needed a big jor tor in 1988, 1993 though

NS always needed joor toor (except for 96 as you said) first against his own PM (Junaijo) and then always to keep BB away from punjab. PPP tried their best but they were no match for NS
