I said banning site promoting such material is better than burning infrastructure of the country. Its just one way to register your protest. There may be other ways of protesting this attitude (not necessarily violent) for attacking Muslim sentiments on the name of so called freedom of speech.

Muqawwee, i agree that temp banning is one way of registering protest. But you should consider ‘banning’ as a tool instead of a solution. There is a lot of negotiations and other planning goes on with it. We all know that govt has banned YT as a knee jerk response under peer pressure.
Your govt will soon enough unban it and that will not only make pak govt look like a fool but it will also make google and other people’s resolve stronger.
Eventually banning information is a bad idea. you really have to tread carefully in these waters.

PS. why cant they get creative and instead of banning , tell youtube to make certain links unavailable in pakistan, and until that happens YT cannot make any AD money from pakistan.
