Prime minister says he will
leave official residence after budget

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday announced that the Prime Minister’s House would be converted into a state-of-the-art institution after the fiscal budget this year.
“I had issued directives to the finance minister six months ago to chalk out a plan in this regard,” Gilani said, and announced he would leave the PM’s House after the budget.
The prime minister was addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of various development projects of the Capital Development Authority.
Highlighting the achievements of the Pakistan People’s Party-led government, Gilani said that this is the “first democratic government that has completed four years in office and will be presenting its fifth budget”.
**“We talk about the manifesto and philosophy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto and rights of people,” he added.
** Gilani said that some people were criticising the government because they were afraid of the growing popularity of the Pakistan People’s Party.
“We will go to people in the next elections on the basis of our performance. And people will decide whether to accept or reject us. We respect mandate of people.” Gilani said.

Institution of what? Institute of loot and plunder? Institution of Inefficiency? Institution of Misgovernance or Institution of corruption? It should actually be converted into an Institution of shame!!!
Completion of term is the biggest achievement of this government! He is loud and clear about PPP’s agenda which was all about making the most of the full term, which they did brilliantly
Now this is by far the biggest joke of the year
I just hope that his wish comes really true and people do judge them on their performance and not over Shaahadat Card or Bhutto factor.

I agree the institution could be of plunder and blackmailing, and they should get the services of Rahman Malik for teaching the art of lying and blackmailing there.

…The peg for this editorial were reports that Jolie was not pleased with the prime minister’s wish that his family wanted to meet her.The family was specially flown from Multan and they presented expensive gifts to Jolie. There was, of course, a sumptuous meal on the table. It is said that the Hollywood star was very ill at ease in that situation. The grandeur of the house and the majestic surroundings may have reminded her of the misery of the flood victims she had herself seen. According to the Khaleej Times editorial, Jolie “recommended the UN to ask the Pakistani government to cut down on their luxurious expenses before asking for aid from the world at large”…
