Rite!! As if it never happened in Non-democratic era!!
Re: PM Gillani's Sister writing "Sifarishi" letters!
A phone call was enough in non-democratic days!
Instead of blaming it on democracy, you should’ve blamed lack of accuntability, justice in the country, its shameful that you are quick to jump to conclusion and finger pointing.
Re: PM Gillani's Sister writing "Sifarishi" letters!
Plenty of big bellied, undeserving colonels and Brigs in the army were studying on HEC scholarships (some are still doing so) through sifarish. They would come to the US or UK with their families, start their never ending PhDs, use some of the 'deserving' civilian scholars there (sent by HEC) to do their projects, and research. Sifarish is pretty prevalent in the system, perhaps even more in dictatorships. Only serious investigative journalists like Ansar Abbasi would go to great lengths to uncover such things, whereas the rest (mediocre ones) use 'scanned images' and copied letters' to create a buzz.

It is sad to see people using such freedom of speech in trash-talk with no thought-process.
Re: PM Gillani's Sister writing "Sifarishi" letters!
saying wrong is wrong would be OK but I dont know when we are out of instead of discussing the issue, start blaming the others to justify the current wrong deed culture or whatever it is.
its quite pathetic to have printed letter head for title like such. shame is written all over it. some said right a phone should have been enough.
