Re: PM, COAS to visit Iran, S. Arabia for mediation
@Jolie what do you think, will Mr. R. Sharif enter into politics after his retirement (may be in November this year) ?

Re: PM, COAS to visit Iran, S. Arabia for mediation
Oh yes it's all part of a grand conspiracy. Saudi through very cleverly intricate plan killed the Shia scholar so the whole conflict reconciles with the uplifting of Iranian sanctions.
The Saudi Prince by another clever plan made a trip to Pakistan with an invitation to join the war so it reconciles with the uplifting of Iranian sanctions.
The weekend also came in between by some conspiracy so Pak visit is delayed until Monday so it perfectly reconciles with the uplifting of Iranian sanctions.
I cannot believe this. The Saudis and Americans did the whole drama just so Pakistan can have an excuse to have a lovely little meeting in post sanctions Tehran.
Brilliant.

No perhaps
will be forgotten soon
Puppet media will be busy in promoting new comer
Re: PM, COAS to visit Iran, S. Arabia for mediation
Judges and senior military personnel can only join politics 2-3 years after retiring from the service. Gen Raheel belongs to the most distinguished military family in Pakistan, I don’t see him joining the dirty business of politics, especially when he’s all set to leave behind a historic legacy.
In short, no chance at all!

Re: PM, COAS to visit Iran, S. Arabia for mediation
One another positive aspect of this whole thing that many people have missed out is that Saudi and Iran's willingness to accept third party 'mediation'. One or both parties had the option to turn down the offer and carry on with escalating tensions.
It just shows that somewhere in their spiral of hostilities, they actually don't want this conflict to get out of hand. Saudia Arabia is struggling in Yemen, the Saudi Shia population is situated in their most oil rich key areas and any rebellion there can be disastrous for them. With Iran, economic sanctions have just been lifted, they want to integrate their economy into the region and have trade links with Pakistan and other countries. So it is really not in their interest to to open up new fronts of fighting. The West doesn't carry the cultural, religious and regional sensitivities to play that kind of role.
I think Pakistani instead of mocking and bashing these efforts for sake of agenda actually need to support these efforts and hope they yield positive results for all three countries.
Re: PM, COAS to visit Iran, S. Arabia for mediation
Yes Pakistan haven't had any kind of relations with Iran for past 40 years, but if change of circumstances gives you perfect opportunity to open up diplomatic channels with your neighbour who was once your close friend. Then so what? What's wrong with it? Why do you have problem with that?
Due to American pressure, Europe and Turkey couldn't have relations with Iran, but now they will try to establish new ties. Are you also going to insult, abuse and laugh at these countries like you abuse Pakistan?
