PM candidate: Asif/Amin Fahim clash, Amin says strong candidate (Merged)

Re: why Makhdoom amin fahim for PM?

Amin Fahim is the best man for the job. No one else at the moment.

PM candidate: Asif/Amin clash/chances, etc. (Merged)

Alright, here's something to think about.

We all know about the rumors and smoke clouding up the sure candidacy of Makhdoom Amin Fahim as PM along with other contenders. Now the news being heard is that Asif Ali Zardari would like to become PM as well, eventhough he hasn't come to express that desire personally.

NS/AZ already signed an agreement in Bhurban/Murree on the restoration of Judiciary within 30 days of the first National Assembly session. Which makes the chances of cases being heard against the President a thing for the SC to do, rather than the Govt. confronting him directly.

Here's what i want to know...and share what you think

Could it be that Musharraf is impeached or removed by Supreme Court orders, Asif Ali Zardari becomes PM and Makhdoom Amin Fahim becomes the President.

The reason i say that is because Amin Fahim was asked whether he'd like to be president instead and his reply was 'that position is not vacant yet'.

If you think about it, it maybe possible. Asif Ali zardari expresses his desire to be PM, people come in rage because no one likes A.A.Z and to calm the people, he boosts Amin Fahim to be the president because Amin Fahim has dealt with Americans/British and others before. And what you have is a PPP President, PPP PM, Coalition parties in provinces. A recipe for another 5year term to prove that they can do it too? Maybe? Maybe Not?

So...What are the chances? What do you think will actually happen, if not this?!

Re: What are the chances?!

Yea i think Mr. 10% will be Mr. 100% and to save his own *** from being removed he will use any dummy doll i.e. Mr. Makhdoom :)

He can't take a chance with Mush cauz he'll speak up.

Re: What are the chances?!

I think if Mushrraf is no longer there PML-N will not support all that AAZ wants. If Mushrraf is some how ousted I expect PPP and PMLN to start fighting like they used back in 1990s.

Fahim says he is still a ‘strong candidate’

It looks like he will be the next PM. So called his sympathizers will not be happy to hear this.

Fahim says he is still a ‘strong candidate’

By Our Staff Reporter
ISLAMABAD, March 12: Pakistan People’s Party’s senior vice-chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that he is not only a contender but a ‘strong candidate’ for the office of the prime minister.

“Indeed, I am a candidate for the premiership. Rather I am a strong candidate,” Mr Fahim told media after meeting PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at a dinner hosted by the latter.

Mr Fahim denied reports about differences between him and Mr Zardari. “There is no deadlock. I have no differences with Asif,” he said.

There was no official comment from the party on the meeting.

Mr Fahim said he would meet Mr Zardari again. “We will decide after mutual consultation as to who will become the prime minister.”

In reply to a question, he said if Mr Zardari expressed his desire to become the prime minister, “I will myself propose his name for the office as the president of the People’s Party Parliamentarians.”

Mr Fahim is the president of the PPP-Parliamentarians registered with the Election Commission which took part in the elections in 2002 and 2008. Under the law, the head of the party that emerges as the largest group in the National Assembly is asked by the president to form government and prove majority in the house.

Reports about differences between the two leaders had been circulating in the media but they came to the surface when

Mr Fahim missed the talks between leaders of the PPP and the PML-N held in Murree on March 9.

There were reports that Mr Zardari was unhappy with Mr Fahim over his alleged meetings with officials of intelligence agencies and some bureaucrats without his permission.

Re: 90% of people would vote for me as PM - Amin Fahim

Zardari will not nominate another person for PM slot : Fahim
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Mar 15 (APP): President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that party's Co- chairperson Asif Ali Zardari will not nominate another person as candidate for prime minister. “When he nominates someone else the question should be asked by me, so far he has not nominated anyone”, the PPPP President said while responding to a question in his brief telephonic interview to a private television channel. Asked to comment on Ch. Ahmed Mukhtar's claim of being a strong candidate for the slot, Makhdoom Fahim said there are other people also who make similar claims. Anyone found making such claims has the right to do so, he said. Fahim said unknown individuals from the party are giving signals but he will believe in only those signals which are given by Asif Ali Zardari. It is the responsibility of Asif Ali Zardari and the party leadership to end the ongoing confusion adding an earlier step in this regard would be good for the party. (Posted @,10:15 PST)

So true, It is high time Zardari broke his silence on the subject

Re: 90% of people would vote for me as PM - Amin Fahim

These guys are behaving like our cricketer bunch who would bring their dirty laundery in the public. Public does not need to hear such crap, public gave vote to parties, now parties need to come up with a PM candidate silently.
