may Allah grant him quick recovery, but how badly was he injured, on one hand you are saying he is badly injured , on the other he is returning from hospital. Normally if you are badly injured you are kept in hospital for a few days, if nothing else but for observation.

He fell down the stairs and he was taken to hospital, but he is home now...but still in too much pain :(
