You should hire your makeup artist to take you to buy makeup, or they can compile a list of the best products for you during your consultation. In my opinion, this is the best way to do it.
Retailers in makeup shops are there to sell as MUCH as they can, not make you look as pretty as possible.
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
hmmmm but im getting married in pakistan n make artist bhee waheen kee hoon geee n ur soo ritee i saw so mny videos on make up n brandss n everytime i find out smething neww itss soo confusinggg
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
get an eyeshadow and lipstick palette, a couple of lip glosses, eyeliner, mascara and foundation to match your skin color..that's it!
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
Are you in pak or US?
Best thing i’d recommend for a starter…and relatively cheaper than expensive brands and better for you than cheap brands
Sephora: Sephora Brand Ultimate Blockbuster - Collector’s Edition: Eyeshadow
Sephora: Sephora Brand Crystallized Palette Collector’s Edition: Eyeshadow
Also, t’s not on their website but Lancome and Estee Lauder sell really wonderful gift sets..
Most of these sets are good for lipcolors and eyeshadows..
For base, i’d recommend one heavier one for special occasions, and one that u can use every day (bare minerals is good for every-day use)
and u can get some nice brushes at places like target, Cvs etc

if u r looking for nice colors and budget friendly--try Revlon..:) Mubashir Khan receommends the colors and he is such a fabulous make up artist
but honestly--every skin is so differnt--try diffrnt prducts and see wht suits u and ur skin type
u will need blush, foundation, eyeliners, mascara, moisturizer, lip pencil, eyeshadows, loose or pressed powder at the very lest
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
also I would suggest that if you don't or are not used to wearing alot of foundation then get a tinted moisturiser. I use rebel tinted moisturiser by benefit for everyday, and foundation for evenings out/functions. I find its quick and easier and just the right coverage too.
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!

Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
^whoa marwah i was JUST about to IM you this link lol
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
If you are in pakistan, go for Etude and TV paint stick for foundation as its perrty warm there and liquid foundation doesn't work well.
for after-marriage dinners and formal places...u do need foundation..but if u do breakout then dont go for TV stick from kryolan..its not that favourable to ur skin type else u can use it...
also for everyday use...u may have powder foundation from kryolan..its nice...just 2-in-1...easy to apply and u dont need to blend in much...
rest all set..but make sure u do some makeup practice before your marriage as well...not like opening the kit on the 3rd day of marriage while getting ready for dinner. and messing up all around..be very careful with the application of eyeshadows, foundation and blush...
make sure your foundation matches your skin tone..u r not supposed to look like wearing a white mask...just take care of such little things and congrats ...best of luck for your marriage:) wish u a very happy life:)
U shud get u're "colors" done from a consultant..he/she will write down what colors would look fab on u! If u have olive skin get urself a good foundation that matches perfectly and blends well. Then get urself an eye-shadow pallete with colors like copper/gold/silver..blue..purple and deep brick.
For lipsticks get a tawny color, pink, gold-brown and a nude one. u prolly will need max 3 lip-pencils!
Foundation, Eye liner, Mascara never be stingy on these products!
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
i brought a Clinique foundation a few months back and its only now i have started to use it and is very good its a foundation and moisterizer in one. check it out and plus if you ask at the counters they should be able to give you sample makeup.

Just check the reviews first
Re: plzz help me buying cosmeticss!!!
If you want to check reviews on products before you buy them go to www.makeupalley.com. Its an excellent place to find out more about the cosmetics you are interested in from people who have used them…saves you a lot of time and money.

just keep on getting sample lol
Clinique has really nice products but at times I see that they don't carry colors that wud flatter olive or "sanwali" girls..
